Great Magic System, great books
I have read this series through book 6 and more of it on Royal Road. I absolutely love this series. The magic system and world are amazing. The editing and word smithing is also top notch. I love the main character and the world she inhabits. It is a progression fantasy so she does gain significant power over the course of the books, yet she is always challenged and faces significant obstacles. The lore of the world is gradually revealed and her experiences fit well within that framework. At the time of my review book 7 is due soon. Book 7 was setup in book 1 within the first chapter. This is the kind of setup you normally see in an established trad published author. It isn't heavy handed and the wee mention easily slips the reader's mind just as it does the protagonist. My writing isn't great but I hope this review conveys my love and enjoyment of this series. I have re-read it a few times and eagerly await the next installment.

Wonderful read
This book has a lot going on for it. Interesting MC with a great background for learning more about the world. Leads to the reader learning from her and with her. The magic is unique and there is so much more to see.Really enjoyed the characters and their interactions.Highly recommend

Nice original phantasy world.
Awesome, done with all seven books now. Waiting for next. Nice slice of life story. Causual, but picks up quite a bit of pace on book 7. Interesting and original world building.

Great book! Pleasantly different.
It was super fun to learn about a new magic system that was not just another game world with stats and stuff. It was also well thought out. It seems like the magic system has a lot of depth, but the author doesn't just info dump everything about magic, it's all integrated into the story in a way that feels fun to learn.

A Unique And Interesting Magic System + World
As the headline says, the thing that has drawn me in the most with this series has been the magic system and the world. The author takes a gamble with the world and the reader gets dropped right into the middle of things. So in the beginning, expect to be trying to piece things together -- you'll eventually get enough understanding but some of the beginning knowledge might need retroactive reassessment. The world itself though is introduced in a slow and well explained fashion, so you probably won't struggle too much there.I won't describe the magic system, but I will say that its core leans closer to a "Hard Magic System." That being said, the encounters and god-tier luck of the main character, left me walking away feeling like I was reading a softer magic style system. The final thing I'll just note with the magic system of this series is that it carries the _influence_ of the Cultivation genre with it, without most of the tropes -- at least what I've seen in book 1 and 2 so far.As far as the main character is concerned, I found her likeable but I'm divided on how critical to be about her "discoveries" and "unique insight." Her use of Iron (it'll make sense if you read) stretches the limits of my "suspension of disbelief" that she has been the only one to consider it. And that's to say nothing about the supposed "academy" she attended prior to the start of this story -- what do they even teach? The last thing I want to shed some light on is the "Slice of Life" bit in the book's title. I wasn't sure how to take that when I first started reading this. I'm still a bit unsure of its usage here but here is what I think. The usage of that genre term here is trying to convey that the story is going to employ minimal conflicts (read: battles/fights) to progress the character. Put another way -- expect the character to grow stronger by just sitting around. My hope is that the story will grow beyond this and introduce some major threats within the story that result in the character having to get more serious. Book 2 hints at some possibilities to this, but I'll have to wait and see.As it stands right now, the biggest threat the main character has is that she struggles to keep the money that she earns. And the things that could earn her money never align with her luck to be profitable. I would caution the author against using the "just not lucky enough to make a profit" shtick too much though. It will wear out quickly and start to feel a lot like the cliche romcoms where two people in love just can't seem to tell the other person they like them.Even with some of these gripes, I still give this book a 5/5. I really appreciate the magic system and the world being built here -- it feels like there has been quite a bit of thought put into it.

Ravenously devoured
I found this series a week and a half ago. I believed it to be a finished 7 book series, and with the other ongoing series that drew me in. It is not a finished series (which is good because this series ticks all the boxes for me, but is also another one to follow). The magic has a unique enough spin and is very well thought out.For me where this series truly shines is the depth of world building and character ...I'm not sure of the word, it isn't development, which is well done with the main character, but with many other characters they are well established in who they are, so we aren't seeing them develop and change... the characters are not flat, they are all written to feel like individual people.

Enjoyable Read
I actually laughed out loud several times during this read. Not many stories do that for me. To the author, well done and thank you!

Fun characters, delicious worldbuilding.
The main character is quirky, but neither insanely overpowered nor annoyingly slow witted. The suporting cast is interesting, and the world-building in delicious without overwhelming the plot. Highly recommend it.

An interesting MC
I do like curious, mysterious and bold female main characters, especially in fantasy settings. Excellent world building, lots of promises of adventures to come. Looking forward to the next book.

Definitely reading the whole series
Grabbed it on a whim and just couldn't put it down. It manages to paint the world rather well with just a few sentences every now and then. The conversations are really fun and witty to read. And ofcourse the MC is just a delight to follow allong.

Slow but interesting
As advertised in the title the story develops quite slowly but it's interesting, with a complex MC.I personally would like more information about Tara academy years but mine isn't a criticism, only a personal taste
