Avigo Hot 18 inch Girls BMX Bike

Was VERY skeptical about buying my granddaughter's first BMX bike online. The reviews on similar BMX bikes, especially Mongoose, a brand I'm very familiar with from when my kids were young. Too many people complained of missing parts and inadequate assembly instructions. This Avigo BMX bike only had one review. Although It was positive, I was still worried about assembly since we're grandparents and no longer interested in self assembly. Nevertheless, I took a leap of faith, figuring I'd bring it to our local bike shop and pay them to assemble it. The price was great for what looked like a terrific girls bike with training wheels. Pleasantly surprised. All the parts were there. The seller had already communicated with me by email. Came home from work to find my son had already assembled it with ease - and toy assembly is NOT his forte! The instructions were easy to follow. It did not come with a kickstand but I guess that's not standard on a bike with training wheels. It's a sturdy, terrific looking bike, very showey with nice features. I love the neon color accents that glow in the dark. Not that a 5 yr. old will be riding in the dark, but hey, she's over-the-moon anyway. Couldn't be more pleased. Great bike, nice seller, good ship time. Thumbs up!!

Loves her birthday bike however would have been nice to know it didn't have a kick stand!

I haven't been able to figured out how to assemble brakes. Most tutorial videos on kids bike have brakes already assembled at factory, but this wasn't so I cannot even find tutorials anywhere online. Instruction manuals make it simple or general for most part assembly, but just put a handle into a tube was not easy. You need a few hands!

Too bulky/heavy. More than my bike! Have to wait till six year old girl gets big enough to handle well. On the flip side, well built.

I ordered a bike for my son made by the same company. While his box was torn up, this bike came in a box in better condition. Both bikes are sturdy and came mostly undamaged. This bike did have a broken reflector. The brakes have to be attatched and adjusted during home assembly....only bad part about putting it together.

My grand-daughter LOVES it.. very cute. Good bike to go from little girls to young lady. She is in kg and looks so big on it..

This bike was well made, nice quality for the money. It has held up well and has nice balance. Granddaughter was riding without the training wheels in less than a week.

The bike works but is missing the kick stand which is described in the booklet that came with it. The handbrake is useless and couldn't be repaired. For the money it's o.k. but it'd be nice it the package was complete and the brake working.
