Lock is a little lose
These are great carabiners for cargo, or holding things down. The locking twist is a little lose, and could easily spring lose. I am not going to put the rated strength to the test, but I feel it should hold at least a good amount of force. I would not climb with it however. I would not want to trust it to the shock loads of a fall. For the price however its a great piece for strapping things down or using for cargo.

Pretty solid for the price
When it comes to climbing gear, I am very discriminating because the equipment you rely on is literally the difference between life and death. I’m not a particularly talented climber, but I do understand safety and I take my equipment seriously. For that very reason, I have always opted for climbing equipment from well-known brands that have a long history and solid reputation in the climbing industry. That said these locking carabiners are imprinted with the European Union safety certification (CE0321), as well as the EN362 standard certification which indicates that they are designed specifically for activities where there is a risk of falling. That in and of itself is a pretty good indicator that they were built for real professional use.The materials and construction quality are excellent. They feel very well-made with good fit and finish. The locking mechanism is smooth and has so far worked flawlessly. Although I kind of wish the knurls on the locking gate were a little sharper, I had no trouble with one handed operation. Based on the construction and materials, and my own personal experience with these locking carabiners, I have no reason to believe that they would fail under normal use. Nevertheless I would still like to see a history of reliable operation before I depend on any one single device, when my life is literally on the line.If you’re just getting started climbing and you’re on a budget, I would say these would make good anchors, but I would still use them in a redundant configuration just to be on the safe side. Recommended, but as always, exercise caution if you plan to use these for climbing activities.

More carabiners? Yes please.
This set of carabiners answers the question - Can you ever have too many carabiners? The answer is no. No you cannot. I got these to match up with a set of anchors for rappelling, and they work just great. The auto lock isn't annoying, but it works as expected, and the large size of these allows for straps and webbing to be run through them without binding up. I've currently got them clipped together and clipped to my static line, ready to rig primary and secondary anchors at a moment's notice. Perfection.

A great set of 'biners...'
I like the twist clip. I will be using these as quick clips to tie down the ends of a 15x30 carnival tent, so the tent doesn't blow away in a storm. For that purpose, they are excellent. I can think of of uses around car camping, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, etc. to link things together. I'm not a climber so I can't comment on betting my life on it. In a backpacking context, it would be likely be overkill, but that's the buyers call on what they are willing to carry. Overall, I've very pleased.

Versatile and Heavy Duty
These are the nicest carabiners I have ever had. I am not a climber, but I kayak, boat, fish, day hike, and just have a thing about picking up carabiners to have around. To me they are like bungie cords, you just cannot have enough of them in your garage or in whatever backpack you are grabbing for the day. The easy locking mechanism is super easy to use and adds a level of security on these that gives you peace of mind in using them to their fullest potential.
