Barry the Fish with Fingers and the Hairy Scary Monster: A laugh-out-loud picture book from the creators of Supertato!

Bought this as I had to read to a group of children for a job interview. The kids loved the story and the lovely brightly coloured pictures. Also I got the job!!

We loved Barry the fish with fingers so could not wait for barry two to arrive. I found the story great until we found out the hairy monster was just a seahorse needing a trim. ( lost me a bit on that) but saying that its still been picked an awful lot. Barry the fish with fingers is still the clear winner from the two. Pictures are so bright and bold you'd love it just for that, good enough to frame and decorate a childs bedroom.

My daughter (2.5yrs) was really keen on the original Barry book so we decided to purchase the follow-up too. The story and illustrations follow a similar pattern and she likes it very much. She did find it a bit of a leap to believe the monster was a hairy seahorse who just needed a haircut, but overall it's proved popular so anything less than 4 stars would be mean.

Bought for my granddaughter. She loves it. Very funny story and great fun to read with a child.

My 3 y/o daughter and I love this book. I wanted to get the original Barry book but it was out of stock so I got this instead. Very glad I did. Its so colourful and the story is great too. Would definitely recommend for children.

Another good follow up to Barney the Fish with fingers. The children I worked with loved the pictures and were so excited waiting to see what the monster was. I would recommend this book and if you haven'tbought the first one please do so as it will be a great success.

Barry again, a must for Sue Hendra fans. Never disappointed with her books.
