Review for Dhyana House singing bowlWhen I first stumbled upon these bowls on Amazon, I have to admit, I was skeptical. I couldn't quite get my head around how a singing bowl could be that enjoyable or beneficial. Still, I made the leap and ordered one. After receiving it, I was immediately struck by how beautiful the bowl was. It honestly looked like a handcrafted treasure from a faraway land. Sadly, I couldn't get it to make a peep. At that point, I felt like a doofus for buying one. But I kept at it, and before long the house was filled with a calming hum. It's hard to describe the feeling you get when you use one of these. It is so relaxing and feels therapeutic.I took it to a get-together and everyone wanted to try it! It wasn't the ideal setting to break out a singing bowl but we did anyways! At one point we were all yapping about the bowl while a friend spent a few minutes playing the bowl. Afterwards, he said he had tuned out everything and didn't hear a word that anyone was saying. We got him one for his birthday and he loves it. Such is the wonder of a singing bowl. It really does have a calming, meditative effect and now I love my singing bowl!

Great but wish it's a bit higher
Very beautiful bell. It comes in a very nice box that can be used as gift box. Very interesting yet simple looks. Despite all the markings and decorative writings, it remains elegant. Very fitting in a Buddhist setting. The sound is very clear and high, and can be very loud depends on the force. Only 1 thing is I wish it was higher, maybe half an inch or so. All in all, very nice! Got one for myself and one for my Dad. He loves it, but wish it even higher still!!! LoL. Perhaps a bigger with higher wall?

Tip in getting this bowl to sing
I love singing bowls and at first I was struggling to get the bowl to sing which I was about to return it but I learned you have to tap the bowl using the mallet and make sure to use the black felt of the mallet when making the circular motion against the outside edge of the bowl.

nice looking bowl, but can’t sing
This bowl comes in a nice rice paper box, looks very pleasing, and makes a decent sound, somewhere between the solar plexus and sacral chakra frequency. However, and this is a significant issue, it is not singing! The decorative inscriptions on the sides make it practically impossible to use as a singing bowl. The area you have to glide the striker on is so narrow that there is no way to produce a continuous vibration. There are so many better choices in the same price range. Back it goes.
