What a Great Book To Accompany Provencal
I love Alex Jackson after purchasing his first book, so when this book became available I knew I had to get it. I was not disappointed. It literally is the food of France. There is so much to choose from. He covers the Southwest, North Africa, The Riviera,The Alps and Alsace. There is baked eggs florentine, Tagliatelle with Walnuts and Lovage, Rabbit with Mustard and Bacon, Nettle Spaetzle with Poached Trout & Creme Fraiche. The list goes on. Cannot wait to try these out.

A good read
The book is well organised by geographical region and there is a lot of history of some of the headline dishes but here was nothing particularly inspiring for me, perhaps because the typeface and layout of the book made it less easy to browse. A labour of love by the author.. just not for me to love
