Excellent app and really smooth touchscreen!!!
I just got mine yesterday, and as I was opening it I noticed the packaging was a little bit damaged, but none of the contents were. The app requires you to make an account online before you can use a fitness tracker, but once you do it, it’s really easy to set up.I would say probably the best things about this watch is the super comfortable silicone band, which makes it really easy to sleep it, unlike other fitness trackers I’ve used. Secondly, the touchscreen is very smooth and not glitchy. The interface itself works just as well as an Apple Watch. The design is sleek, and appropriate sized. In the app you can adjust how you want your notifications, and can apply all your contacts, so that’s a plus.Anyways, 🫵 get this watch. You’ll love it

Its a nice band and a nice improvement from an older band
I had the same band but an older 4 model. It was tough as nails but it popped out of the bracelet and I lost it after using for several years. 8 model doesn't pop into a bracelet like older model. This new one also has a much nicer display but is mostly the same. Charge time is quick and it lasts for days too. No complaints if it too lasts for years like the last one!

So many things on it don’t work correctly
It resets my phone in the ratio of calories to steps. My Apple phone makes me sad my goal in calories. Somehow what used to take over 2 miles to fulfill my goal now takes 50 some steps other days it counts half the number of steps that my phone countsIt also tells me to get moving when I’m already moving. I keep finding out more things that it doesn’t do.I decided I wanted to return the watch but I got a recurrence that I was afraid might be Covid and I just wanted to sleep all the time and then I couldn’t return it anymore.Oh let me add the customer service numbers are for everywhere else in the world except the United States. I haven’t figured out how to contact the company yet.It does keep time. The best watch face is in make your own. I didn’t make my own. I just took their example and it was perfect.

Great fitness watch.
This watch was a replacement for a new Fitbit. The watch is much more User friendly than the Fitbit.Very easy to setup the app. The only minor issue is the band is just a bit cheap.Overall a much better value than a Fitbit. I would buy again.

I like the watch but don't always trust the stats.
This has been a good product. The first battery charge lasted 2 weeks. My biggest problem with it is that it counts arm swings more than steps. I was exercising while watching TV in place. after about 10 minutes of steps, I looked down to see that no steps had been counted because my arms were stationary. once I began to swing my arms, it began to count. I don't think the calorie count is accurate either. We went to Dysney World and I was walking 18,000 steps, but the calorie count never went above 920. At times my heart rate was over 110. Just didn't seem right. I like the watch and the heart monitor. It is the right size and helps me see my texts and reminders from my phone. I just wonder about the accuracy of other things.

Band 8 device is Great! Mi Fitness app is awful. No Support from Xiaomi. Used Notify App instead.
Amazon please don't censor my honest review. It does not contain Profanity, Harassment, Hate speech,Sexual content, Illegal activity, nor Private information! And since you completely deleted it ,while asking me to edit it, I cannot show that it was a valid criticism. The start of my original review with additional experience:[I have to say I am Not impressed with this overall. the Device itself is okay and supposed to work with the app but the app is close to useless , and the band is a bit uncomfortable and difficult to secure.Based on all the things it's supposed to...]The 3 included images show1. the version of the Mi Fitness app being used,2. a screenshot showing NO DATA for the heart rate, even though it is set to measure every 15 minutes3. a screen shot showing how none of the functions have recorded anything, with the exception of sleep and, because I covered the actual sleep amount with a sticker so it is not showing "private data" , I can TELL you that in a 8 hour sleep period, it only recorded it as a short 1 hour nap.The Mi Fitness App is the reason I was very close to returning the item for a refund. The Xiaomi Band 8 device itself works as advertised, it is very easy to see, simple to navigate and does the job of monitoring as programmed. A simple swipe left or right shows me the widgets I chose to be on top. I can link to my phone for weather information, and can easily start a heart rate reading with only a tap, swipe, and a tap. Super Easy. If I take the band off, I can see when the little lights come on to try to read my heart rate regularly. The only complaint I have with the device is the default band must be so tight to get accurate readings and holds moisture so my skin is moist and compressed below the band. Nothing that switching to the other arm periodically doesn't fix. Each day I wear it on the opposite arm and that helps with comfort. Also like the feature that it will ring my phone if I misplace it and vice versa for the band so long as they are linked with Bluetooth. My Biggest complain is with the recommended software application that is supposed to transfer the data from the watch to the phone. I've spent a week and a half trying to get the Mi Fitness app to behave as it is described to and have failed over and over to find a satisfactory solution to the lack of functionality. I have tried calling Xiaomi but the phone recording just says it's not working. I've tried going to the website, but it has only the most generic explanations. I've tried reaching out by Facebook, as suggested on their website to do, and started a chat that gave one reply and then nothing else. I've even looked at their youtube videos which don't have much information. There is no tech support or anyway to get in touch with a real person. I even checked out their twitter feed, which has lots of neat things to try but that doesn't help me if I cannot get the data from the watch to the phone in the first place.I tried Reddit for suggestions and lots of people helped but No matter how many times I reset bluetooth, re-synced, re-paired, rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled the Mi fitness app, it was showing none of the data the Mi band 8 was collecting. It kept unchecking features I turned on. The App showed only 2 out of 7 days of sleep, only a few heart rate reading when set to record at intervals throughout the day. I can see all the readings on the watch itself, and it's really cool, but its useless if I cannot get the information off the watch so that it can be documented. The very reason I got the watch was to make documenting my health markers easier. The UPSIDE to all this struggle is that I've been directed by other Band users to try a different app called Notify for Xiaomi. I was hesitant to try an app not made by the manufacturer, but after complete lack of support for the device and so much frustration, I relented and tried it. It is like night and day, and it is working much better than the Mi Fitness app ever was.I get a line chart of my heart rate with several points of data instead of just a min/max/average bar for the entire day. On Mi Fitness I had to go to a buried menu to see my readings and I noticed that all the readings had the same timestamp instead of every 5 minutes like I asked. The Notify app puts it all front and center. The past two days I tried using the Mi App, it recorded No Sleep, None of my Steps, and my heart rate only when I manually pressed it. I gave up and uninstalled it. I only didn't return it because of the Hurricane that blew through.During the Hurricane days, I played with the Notify app. With the Notify App, I can also see my sleep data with all the details it recorded, My steps, and even my oxygen levels. I can finally Breathe Easier knowing I finally can use the cool fitness watch I just purchased. I have decided I'm going to keep the Xiomi Band 8 because I can now finally see the same benefit that others have experienced , just by choosing a different monitoring app. Thanks to everyone on Reddit for guiding me to a solution.
