BODUM 1784-01 Kenya 4 Cup French Press Coffee Maker, Black, 0.5 l, 17 oz

A very strongly made item, much sturdier than cheap models. My previous Bodum cafetiere lasted over a decade, and only needed replacement when glass finally got broken , and my husband did not realise the glass can be replaced, so threw away the whole thing.Highly recommended.

I bought one of these (a green coloured one) some 15 years ago, and accidentally smashed the inner glass jug part. I did look to just buying a replacement glass jug, but for some bizarre reason - it costs more than buying a complete cafeteria? Hopefully this will last forever - baring any clumsiness on my part.

This is only big enough to make one average sized mug of coffee, not three as stated. Smaller than I expected but suitable for one person.The large warning label is not a sticker, it's actually engraved on the glass and cannot be removed, which kind of ruins the aesthetic.Apart from that it's a good cafetiere - easy to use and clean, and good sturdy construction.

not a very structually thought out product. The main cup, the glass and plastic housing is quite sound and maybe i can repurpose that as a nice mug but the plunger leaves a lot to be desired.The filter is very good, the spring loaded part and the mesh go hand in hand and are inexplicably great at filtering all the product but the issue is the plastic bracket that holds these in place, its got a plastic thread, a plastic thread in a mechanical assembly for a product that regularly gets hot and cold. This part isn't show on the product pageObviously after a few months this thread broke meaning I couldn't assemble and use the plunger, i had to modify it by drilling a hole in the middle and then force threading the metal pole into it, this has held up for nearly a year but overtime the plastic is just wearing down and is gonna become useless again and then there's no DIY fix after thatI wouldn't trust this press and I would caution on the side of any other bodum press as it's likely the design is intentional and repeated as this product still is for sale

Just received this now and haven't used it yet so can't comment on functionality, however, it's not what it looks like in the pictures and videos. It's quite small and I am a little disappointed as I was excited and looking forward to receiving this item.

J'aime bien boire un ou deux mugs de café le matin et je ne supporte ni le café soluble (lyophilisé) ni les dosettes. La cafetière à piston est pour moi un choix idéal en complément de ma bouilloire électrique, me permettant d'alterner café, thé et infusions. De plus, j'aime le goût du café pressé.Cette cafetière Bodum est au niveau de la qualité de cette marque réputée dans le domaine des cafetières à piston et est pour mon usage idéale : elle correspond à deux mugs.Le petit point "négatif", c'est que le filtre est un peu compliqué à nettoyer, mais je chipote. De plus, le filtre est éventuellement interchangeable et existe en pièces détachées.C'est donc, pour mon usage, un produit idéal.

Je suis revenue vers cette marque bien connue après un essai infructueux avec une autre marque. La cafetière est bien faite, les élements en verre et en plastique ont une bonne finition. Tout s'emboîte correctement, les filtres glissent bien et ne laissent pas passer le marc de café. Facile à nettoyer.
