This Pilates mat is pretty heavy duty, slightly heavy in weight but not too much making it difficult to carry just enough that it makes for amazing quality. The weight of it helps in keeping the mat in place including the entire backside is a super durable rubber material. Almost gives you tire rubber vibes but much thinner. I was concerned of slipping on suede like top surface but I used it for the first time and there was absolutely no slipping. It actually aided in staying at the top of the reformer especially when in a bridge pose or while doing pelvic presses. As you can see it’s slightly smaller then my Pilates club reformer but that may be due to them having extra heavy duty equipment. I ordered both the blue and the black leopard because I’m not a fan of either blue or leopard and definitely not a lover of pink lol but I knew this sounded like a good product. Both are subtle in colors so they aren’t hard on the eyes and don’t cause a distractions. They are actually nicer looking colors in person.

The black leopard print is my favorite! It’s a soft suede material on top that absorbs all my sweat. I prefer to sweat on the mat instead of on the reformer especially for studio classes. I never liked seeing my sweat on the carriage and having other people see as well. I tried a lighter colored mat before but I could actually see the sweat marks on the mat which defeated the purpose for me lol. I got a ton of compliments on the black leopard already. I really like to use it at the studio, but have started using it at home too on my home aeropilates reformer. Photo of it on the Merrithew V2max at my studio.

This mat looks good and worked perfectly well. It really stays on a reformer. Plus you get a bag :) with it...

It’s about 3-4 inches shorter than the carriage of the reformers at the studio I go to and there’s maybe half an inch on the sides of the reformer that’s not covered by this. It’s made of a nice material, holds up in the wash, and even with triple digit weather I never feel my sweat pooling on this. I like it!

I hate laying on the bare reformer as it’s usually cold when the Pilates session starts. Then by the time it warms up, I’m sweating and still don’t like the feeling of sweat to leather. This mat helps so much with both being cold and absorbing the sweat.
