The COBIKU plastic is a little thinner than the Selkirk balls, so they are not as responsive off the paddle. But over all not a bad ball, just a little slower and responsive for you 4.0 players and above.

This could mean that they are still in the process of the application, or they have been approved and it's just not showing on the site yet, or they haven't been approved at all.I played with them tonight and compared them with a pickleball set ball and a USAPA-approved ball. They resembled and played just like the USAPA-approved ball. Unlike the pickleball set ball which was heavy and clunky, these Cobiku balls go where you aim them and are fun to play with. I wasn't sure if I would like playing with the blue colour, but they were easy to see in the air and easy to find in the grass.I recommend these Cobiku Pickleballs for beginners over the ones that come with the most Pickleball sets, but they likely aren't as good as some of the more professional balls.I would feel better about USAPA-approved claim when I see them on the USAPA site. The USAPA logo is written on the side of the box but it doesn't say "approved".

First thing I noticed is the finish is kind of matte compared to my other outdoor balls. I don't think it impacts much, as after one game playing on an outdoor court, they are all matte finish. Might get a bit more spin right off the bat with these ones. The other thing I noticed is the holes appeared a bit smaller. Yes I know indoor balls have 26 bigger holes, and outdoor balls have 40 smaller holes, but these looked even smaller than usual, so I measured, and they are indeed a bit smaller (6 mm vs 7mm on all my other balls). I don't think I'm a good enough player to notice a difference between these balls and the ones I already have. I was able to research them a bit, and they are sold around the world, including specialty Pickleball only stores. They are are rated to professional play standards. I did find them for cheaper elsewhere, so maybe do your research. (17.99 for 3 on Amazon at time of writing)

I’m still a novice at pickleball, so there may be some aspects that I’m not advanced enough to notice, but I’ve enjoyed using these balls. They have a good bounce, seem to move well and the 3-pack is helpful to always have some extras available. The colour makes them easy to see and they appear quite durable. Overall, I’m happy with their “playability” and would recommend these!
