Redcat Machete 4S 1/6 Scale Monster Truck Brushless

I'm loving this big guy, it's exactly what I was wanting when I first started rc hobby. Fast, responsive, great climbing, jumping and acceleration this is only beat by itself in 6s but for the price is the best or second best giant RC on the market! But my vote is 1st place.

I bought this one cuz I bought a little one the venom it goes 80 I wanted a bigger one this is 29 in short why it goes it is awesome car got to get one for the price I am paying to get two more the 6s and another one of the four s's was just one is excellent check the gears on when you get it because one of the screws were off on the motor a gear on the motor was loose I opened it up figured it out tightened it and I run like the chat this is American made car the definition in this car has gear oil in it the ones from China don't you have to refill those or they'll break and then got to go buy a part in around 2 or 3 times before it goes out if it's from China American made car which is the car track Max American cars they're already filled with gears they're not flying across the Pacific Ocean and the attitude dissolve the gears I open the cat gearbox and they are heavy felt like a 5 lb sinker fishing sinker so I know it has gear fluid in it put it back together and I ran it and I'm running it every weekend excellent call I'm getting me two more I want to get to where I can take this car apart and put it back together an hour and a half to two hours I want to know in and out of this car because this is my car for life

Took it out of the box. Put a battery in it, turned it in and no steering or throttle. Tried to rebind the radio and reciever, still nothing. Had an extra radio and reciever, hooked them up and it worked fine. So it had a bad radio or reciever, or both. Waiting to hear what Redcat is gonna do about it.

This is one of my favorite rc's I have, drives great and handles great. I've jumped it over 5 feet high many times and it handles it no problem, the only complaint I have is that there's no aftermarket support for it. I broke the right front steering knuckle and the only place I can get a new one is from redcat and it's plastic. I would love to upgrade everything to aluminum and trick it out but can't find anything for it. I do love the truck, I just wish I could customize it like all the other brands.

I'll start by saying that this isn't the first Redcat I've purchased. It was an experience with another Redcat that led me to buy a couple more models, with this being my most recent purchase.Be warned that the early models suffer from a manufacturing defect in the upper arms where the grub screw isn't long enough. This issue has been remedied and new replacement arms are either included in the box or Redcat will send them to you. Their customer service is phenomenal and super responsive.This thing is mahussive. The pictures and videos you see on the internet don't do it justice. It's well-built and once you put the new arms on it's virtually indestructible.4S feels slightly under-powered, but I already had a 6S system that I could repurpose and I had a use for the 4S system that comes with it. My suggestion would be to spend the extra money on the 6S system, but the 4S is certainly still a blast. On 6S though, it's simply absurd. It just feels right. Absolutely shreds.Will 100% purchase another Redcat.
