Oypla 1850W Log Burner Flame Effect Electric Fireplace Stove Heater

Very pleased with this heater. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Arrived very well packed in large strong cardboard box, with polystyrene moldings on the top and bottom. Only issue was that unpacking was made a bit more difficult than necessary due to over enthusiastic use of sellotape sticking the bottom molding to the plastic bag and the bottom of box, making it hard to extricate the heater from the box. Once removed and unpacked, the item is of high quality and looks really good. It appears to be made of a metal chassis frame with good quality textured plastic panel cladding, which doesn't look or feel cheap. The fan heater, which is discreetly slung under the main body, has three settings of fan, 900W, and 1850W, each selected with a good quality illuminated rocker switch. Another switch turns on the fire simulation light effects which are pleasantly effective, and an adjacent knob adjusts the brightness. On the opposite side of the control panel is another knob which sets the thermostat which is unusually effective. All controls are again discreetly concealed behind a hinged magnetically fastened flap. Likewise the ornate fire door is hinged and magnetically fastened allowing it to be opened for "stoking the coals". The heater produces a satisfactory amount of heat even on just the first heat setting, and plenty on the second - more of a bonus as I bought it mainly for the fire effect. The fan is fairly quiet, but does vibrate a little - not too much, but it can cause items placed on top of the heater to rattle a bit if not placed carefully or a little wobbly. The heater is shipped without the feet fitted, so first of all, these must be attached. This is slightly fiddly, as the self-tapping screws need a fair amount of force to tighten, but not too difficult. Once fitted, the heater is stable and secure. Overall, very pleased. Everything looks good, works well, and quietly. Better than expected, and remarkable value.

So far I haven’t used it to heat the room, I’ve just had the flame effect on. Everyone has commented on what a difference it makes to the feel of my living room. The fireplace was empty before with just a large vase in it. The price is very reasonable and the electricity use minimal. Very pleased with my purchase.

I have two different males of these fires and this one unfortunately isn't the best, the heat isn't as good so I have to have the fire in front of me, bit expensive for what it is, looks nice tho.

Lovely looking neat fire loved the log effect unfortunately the heater didn't work so disappointing
