I'm at a loss as to why people are saying these burn their eyes. I have used other Rohto drops that have a lot of cooling feeling and these are NOT like that. There is a very slight tingle, but it is barely noticeable, and I feel not nearly cooling enough. When my eyes are red enough to use a drop it means they also feel irritated and need the cooling for relief. They do provide much more redness relief than the Rhoto Arctic drops (which have unfortunately been discontinued), but they don't soothe anywhere near as much.

It won’t get out yellow pockets on the eyes but even though it burns at first it feels good afterwards. My eyes looked a lil barely glossy after use. I got em to freshen up my morning eyes and to look better. I dig em. Better than visine or clear eyes for sure. Don’t expect bleached whites or anything crazy different. But it does work better than the drops I just mentioned. I’d buy again! Maybe try another kind that they make?

Rohto is one of the brands I use regularly, and I have never had a problem with them. I like this variety because, during Dakota winters, my eyes often become dry, red, and itchy. These drops really help with that. I have not experienced stinging as I have with a couple other brands. The bottle is easy to hold, even for a klutz like me.

Works well to comfort, cool and hydrate my eyes. I gave it 4 stars because it didn’t work as well to rid redness.

Hard to believe there are complaints of “burning” in some of the reviews. Actually, what’s hardest to believe is how some people are buying things to put on their eyeballs without basic research, reading descriptions or reviews first!I’m a long time user of Japanese cooling eye drops, I love the sensation and how awake my eyes feel afterward. I tend to prefer maximum cooling but I admit, the pretty pink bottle lured me in, in spite of its mild level of cooling. When I saw a US version of them was available, I decided to try it. I do like these drops, they are soothing to dry eyes as any drops are. The cooling is at the lowest end of the cooling spectrum, a notch above non-existent. I’m glad I finally tried them but for me personally, I will stick to Rohto Jolt or a stronger Japanese import.

When Visine & Clear Eyes quit working for me I looked for something else aka Rhoto & soon found out their products are very different. Rhoto Ice, like most Rhoto products burned at 1st but it also made my eyes redder. Rhoto Digi - redder. Rhoto Cool Max - redder. But oddly enough Rhoto Cool (not max) worked OK. I ordered Rhoto Beauty but was shipped Rhoto Cool & realized Beauty & Cool are the exactly the same in different packages. Rhoto Jolt is my last hope with Rhoto, waiting on that. I also tried Lumify which works great immediately and long lasting but it is a lot more expensive.

These drops are a little different from regular Rohto, but they work just as well. I'm actually having trouble putting a finger on how they are different, but they feel the same-- cold, a bit of burning and then nice clean white eyes for hours.

It temporarily burns my eyes. Although my eyes feels refresh. It's not getting all the redness out.
