Tablet review
It's a tablet with a name that I have never heard of , but it's doing the job I bought it for.

Battery over heats.
Basically I’m warning you not to buy this product. Worked for a month now a message that the battery is overheating by 55% shows and within 10 seconds the device shuts off. It try’s to restart but goes through the same message and loops. I tried to go to the website but it asks a load of questions including the product url. Just don’t buy.

It's OK.
Not as fast as you'd think for the spec. But does the job, screens not very responsive and the battery isn't as good as more others I've had, but it's good enough for the price. My daughter seems to like it.

Entry level tablet
The quality is perhaps much better than the price would suggest. Its early days, but so far so good!

Affordable Tablet, Punches above weight and class
It was time to replace a family members 10inch tablet which is used every day for video calls and media consumption and was getting long in the tooth in terms of Android version, security patch updates and performance, compared to what is available today. Our UMIDIGI Ownership experience started with the A5 Pro, Power 3, F1, Bison X10 and F3S. All of which are currently in use except for the A5 Pro which was lost/stolen.All the devices had a premium look and feel, and excellent performance and superior bang for your buck. These positive experiences were the reason why I had the UMIDIGI tablets in my list of devices to research. So when I received an invitation to try the newly released G1 Tab from UMIDIGI, which I alreeady had on my list, I said why not and ordedred one. When I opened the box I was delighted to see that the G1 Tab included the same bundles I always got with all my past UMIDIGI devices, a case, cable, charger block and screen protector (already applied). no hassles and no need to search and spend more money for compatible cases and screen protectors, which seems to be the new norm when you buy devices these days. The G1 Tab is a solid device, a bit hefty (probably due to the good size Battery), but feels good in hand and gives assurance of a solid quality build. The G1 Tab powered up in little time, as expected for a first start and battery was at 87% so I could go through the usual android set up without having to wait. Set up was done without any issues, following the steps and account synced quite quickly. Android updates were downloaded and installed quickly in the background no fuss no muss (we are on a fast wifi network). The screen resolution was excellent and brighter than the device it is replacing, text is sharp easy to read, colours are rich and vibrant.Battery life has been great, for the past week, lasting all day, running youtube videos, playing music, and doing video calls. we typically plug it in overnight as always. The camera resolutions are good for picture taking, not really something we use a tablet for, and better than our current tablet for the front facing camera used for the video calls.I must say that the excellent experience we have had and are having with our other UMiDiGi devices, continues! For our use cases, which is making calls, video calls, surfing the web, email, texting, social media, youtube, streaming content, some easy gaming. We have no complaints.I trust the value and build quality of this G1 Tab, which like our other UMIDIGI devices, punches above their weight and class, I won't have to buy any accessories, I can still use the wired headphones I aready own, and have bluetooth connectivity if needed, a nice big battery that lasts a good long while, has support for the latest Android and security patches, expandable storage, a device that does what I need it to do and at a reasonable price.UMIDIGI is a brand that we have come to appreciate, If you fall in the same use category as us, this may be a device to try. I started many years ago with a budget A5 Pro, and our experience with the brand has been positive so far.

Great tablet at a very affordable cost!
The tablet comes in a box with a cable and charger end. In mine, the cable was red. I weighed the tablet on my digital scale and it came in at 1 lb 2.5oz. It feels nice and sturdy but is easy to hold up while watching videos. The setup was nice and easy since it runs Android. The whole setup took me around 5 minutes. All I had to do was put in my internet password and sign into my Google account. There is a slight delay when you click on a box until the keyboard comes up. That, however, is to be expected for a budget tablet. The delay isn't long enough to become annoying. Apps open quickly, and the screen turns back on quickly when you press the side button. The buttons on the side feel nice and clicky. They don't feel cheap, and they don't wiggle around like on other budget devices. The 10.1 inch screen is nice and bright, and even though the highest resolution is 800p, on a screen this size it looks as good as 1080p. I watched some videos on YouTube, and it looked as good as if I was watching it on my computer screen. When moving around app buttons to arrange the home screen to the way I like it, they moved smoothly without lag. The same goes for when you turn in on. You swipe up to get to the PIN screen. It's nice and smooth. The memory isn't an issue since you get what you pay for. Still, it has an easily accessible micro sd slot right next to the USB slot for an easy memory upgrade. I placed a 64 gb card in it and it worked fine. The camera looked pretty good for what it is. I'm not planning to take pictures with it, but I took some anyway just to test it. The pictures came out just fine. They weren't professional quality or anything like that, but the quality is more than good enough, especially since I paid 75 dollars for it. The same goes for the video quality. If you're looking for a great budget tablet for children or maybe you just want something to watch videos on in bed, this is perfect for just that. Highly recommend.
