This "Hispanic" product is virtually identical to the original Desenex ointment, which I used since the mid-1960s. Its active ingredients, zinc undecylenate and undecylenic acid works quickly and thoroughly, when none of the "modern" stuff does. A word of caution -- when applied to sensitive areas it generates a definite burning sensation as it works. Do not cover or occlude the treated area until the sensation subsides.

I tried for more than 2 weeks and it helped to remove the skin problem but the nails seems the same. I will wait to see further healing. Thank you anyway! It is effective.

This stuff works. I volunteer with an animal rescue organization as a kitten and cat foster, and ringworm loves those furry little stinkers. Okay, I'll admit that ringworm also loves unwitting foster parents too.But ringworm hates Hongo Cura. And Hongo Cura doesn't care.

Edited down to one star. The active ingredient has been changed to tolnaftate, same as Tinactin and many others, which does not work for me, and I didn't notice until it quit working. The product picture reflects the change but the description doesn't yet. Used to be undecylenic acid and zinc undecylenate, and that combination worked when nothing else did for me. I have found the same combination but a slightly lower concentration in a competing product but the lower concentration doesn't work for me, so now I can't find anything that actually helps.Original review: Worked when nothing else would. Cost about triple here compared to what I found it for elsewhere though.
