We were able to dismantle our broken umbrella crank and install this replacement crank quite easily. The price for what we received was surprising. This saved us from getting rid of an expensive umbrella!

The string broke on my offset umbrella. Just as I finished restringing it, the handle fell off the crank. The inside of the crank was rusty and irreparable. Instead of buying a whole new offset umbrella for much more money, I purchased this replacement crank and it works like a dream. It’s easy to install, though I have to share that disconnecting the old crank was a nightmare for me. I ended up drilling through the rivets that were in my old crank and having to purchase 2 shiny new screws that fit tightly in the holes. You can see one in the pic. The cord was already attached to the crank and it was exactly the right length.I gave 4 stars because…1. I wish it had come with replacement screws or some sort of fasteners as well. It took a trip to the big box store and then once there, taking forever to find screws exactly the right size for me to be able to install it. The maker surely knows we have to destroy odd fasteners for this repair.2. I wish it also came in dark brown. My umbrella pole is dark brown.Overall I’m pleased. Being able to replace the broken crank saved me approximately $50 or more!

Ordered this to replace the original which broke after years of service. This replacement fit perfectly and worked even better than the original. The umbrella was over $500 so I was glad this fixed my issue. Highly recommend.

You will need a rivet gun in screwdriver to do the installation. Good replacement product for the one that broke on my umbrella.

We managed to repair the umbrella crank opener with this replacement part. I must admit we had to find an online video to get us started. Nevertheless, we are pleased that we fixed the umbrella so that it opens and closes again. Being able to find this part for a good price saved us from buying a whole new umbrella. We are happy with our purchase.

Picture showed a cantelevered umbrella, but after I got it mostly strung, I realized the provided rope was not long enough to replace my existing parts. I had to take it apart again, buy new rope, and struggle to get the new rope attached to the spool. After finally getting the re-stringing done, the holes in the plastic part were not large enough and didn't align with the holes of my umbrella. I had to drill new holes in the umbrella and find new screws. With determination it worked, but it took addition purchases and several hours from start to finish.
