I'm up to book 3, and it's still great fun.
At the outset of the series, I mentioned that I thought I'd found a new author for my favorites list. As of book 3, I am now certain.Meisser Fold is a bit more intense than the first 2 stories, but still entertaining on multiple level. The story line seems to have grown up a bit. The quips, slang, and dry humor are still there, but now there is a bit more uncertainty in the specific outcomes of the various adventures. The story line also picks up a bit more mature scenes (although nothing that approached R rated).Once again, it's a story unto itself, with hints to the future. Still no cliff-hangers or feeling that you are missing out. Just great, old-fashioned writing. I'd compare it a bit (though far more modern) to Edgar Rice Boroughs.Half way through, this is about the best series I've come across in a long time.

It holds your attention.
Fulfilling read. Quality characters and descriptions. Excellent science to boot. This the 3rd book of Nicks that I couldn't put down.

Excellant story line.
Thanks to high speed thinking of a sentient computer, these intrepid (police) officers of the GDO muddle on! LeavingLake as a super gaseous villan is not going to be good!

Book 3 & I'm still with the series
Fun read. Sometimes the Brit quip humour is overplayed. Enjoying the series overall. Time for some non-human aliens ... please
