Purchased as a starter set for kids, looks great set up and being magnetised prevents loss, only criticism is that pieces were smaller than expected and no spare pieces

The quality of the set feels nice but it's too easy to mistake a queen / bishop / pawn as they look very similar. Critical blunders all over the place.

Our son is starting to enjoy Chess and it’s fast becoming a father and son activity for us. He had a plastic travel set but it was really too small and fiddly to use so we wanted to upgrade. We were attracted to this one because it seemed attractive, sturdy and better quality. It’s a bonus it comes in different sizes and weights.We’re delighted. It felt like a premium special present for our son and was thrilled to receive his surprise on the flight. It’s much easier to use and finish is excellent a good magnet strength

I'll admit straight up, I didn't read the description properly and so was suprised when I ended up with a pocket chess set rather than a standard size. My fault.My grievance is with the price, now that I know it's pocket sized. You search for chess boards and there are a few options for standard sized around the same price as this pocket sized version. Why? This product shouldn't be anywhere near the same price, surely?
