Great all around step stool. Note: Have a longer Allen wrench available because the screws are a little tight. The provided wrench is small and your hand and wrist will be sore by the completion of assembly. Instructions were easy to follow.

I had bought a set of steps a couple of years ago, and was very happy (see review below). Needing another set I had no hesitation in making a repeat order (September 2023), and am writing this review for two reasons:1 - to confirm that I am completely happy with the steps - it is exactly as advertised and I do not have any hesitation in confirming that it is sturdy enough for adults.2 - advice for assembly: watch the video on this Amazon page before starting; and do not tighten the big screws until you have finished assembling the steps. Follow the instructions (clear if you don't skim through them!) on the leaflet, and you will be finished in under 20 minutes.***I had been slightly nervous about ordering this stool because of a few negative comments, but since it was exactly what I wanted, I went ahead. It arrived promptly in excellent condition, with all parts and instructions. I had ordered the wooden one, which looked exactly the same as the photo in the description. The wood is a combination of birch and pine, which is almost the same as appearance as some maple bookcases that I have from Room & Board. The wood is finished, and nothing about it looks cheap.It takes about 20 minutes to assemble it using the clear instructions and provided tools (with spares). Is it easy? Well, ummm, yes, almost, sort of. Difficult? Not at all; just fiddly - logical and never tricky. It will be best done by someone who has a little experience of such things, or by somebody who has looked at the video above. It does NOT need somebody with strength or with an engineering degree!It is extremely sturdy, and I recommend it very strongly. As long as you are prepared to spend the 20 minutes to put it together properly, you will - I think - be as happy as I am.

I really like how pretty it is, but it did not go together very easy… There are still a couple screws that are not all the way in, but you can’t get them to go in any further

Very happy with this stool! It is very sturdy, the right height, and aesthetically pleasing.The grain on the wood was a little rough. I put a bit of Feed-N-Wax on it, and it polished it perfectly.

This is very cute and looks great in the corner of my kitchen. Love how easy it was to put together

The media could not be loaded. Disappointed. The directions were very unclear but I still managed to figure it out only to find the screw bolts don’t fit in the provided holes. The Allen wrench could only get them about 3/4 of the way into the holes, and it was HARD. We used a drill after that and even THAT couldn’t get one of them all the way in. The product is very wobbly, even for one of the screws not being all the way in, considering others are in. It seems to hold weight ok but because it wobbles it doesn’t make you feel very safe. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking to use it for a small child or an elderly person as it takes a bit of caution getting onto it. I feel this was overpriced considering the poor quality. If it were sturdy it would be mostly ok, though a bit of texture on the steps would likely be safer as they are quite slippery in socks. That would mostly apply to very young kids who might be less careful. I do like the hole in the top step which makes it easy to grab and place where you need it.

The quality is fine. The height is less than I was expecting, but that’s my fault for not reading the dimensions.The bottom step has a lip that extends out. That lip, if you shift your weight towards it, causes it to tip. And it’s easy to do.I do not recommend this step stool.

Been needing this for a while. Easy to assemble and sturdy.

Decent, nice looking stool. Had no problems putting together and it came with extra screws which is handy if you are like me and have a tendancy to misplace screws when attempting to put together furniture. I got this so i could reach the top of cabinets and this is perfect for that. Bit expensive for what it is, but at least its not plastic. Figure i can also use as cute plant stand if I want.

We use it in our bathroom for our toddler to wash her hands. Quiet sturdy but I am starting to see slight water damage on the top coat within 2 months of using it. Would have loved the topcoat to have been more durable.
