These are great little painting pages with a unique brush system that holds water. Great for little painters, and fun for grown-ups too!

It comes with 2 painting books and 2 brushes. Each page has unique sketches and paints and my kids really like it. Since it is smaller than a regular letter sized paper, it's so easy to carry and we used to bring the books when we go out for dinners or long distance travels. A thickness of paper is good for watercolor paintings. There was no tearing or over-soaking issues at all. I think this brush is so well designed and it helps kids to control water well than just regular painting brushes. At the bottom of each page, there is a cutting line for easy use of paints. However, I hope there is another engraved cutting line at the left side of the page because it is hard to cut the paper cleanly. Good value for the price!

my granddaughter’s love these books. at age 3 and 5’. they think they are really painting. i watercolor, and they love to get into my paints, so i had to find something they could do. this worked great.

After reading all of the 5 star reviews, I was incredibly disappointed with these watercolor paint booklets. First I was surprised by how small they are in person - the size of a large index card or postcard. Even so, the paint that comes with each picture is still not enough to cover the little pictures, which sets up the kids to be disappointed every time! The themes of the books are forest (which will have lots of plants / green needed) and ocean (which will need lots of blue) but each "paint" set only comes with ONE square that is blue-green or teal, not one blue and one green like it looks like it will include based off of the colors on the book's cover ( I included a picture of the cover of the book vs. The actual colors the paint palettes include). It's impossible to get much pigment in the finished artworks, they turn out very light and unfinished looking. It is so hard to tear the pages out. Why would they perferate the paint section but not include perferation lines to tear the pages out of the book?! After the first page, it does get easier to tear them from the binding by bending it back at the spine. This makes it so kids cannot tear out sections and use the books independently, which they'd otherwise be able to do. All of these frustrating aspects aside, my kids LOVE these little books and ultimately that is what is important. They are fun to paint with and low mess. I will not be returning these since my kids do like them, but I won't be repurchasing or recommending these watercolor books either.
