Excellent Build Quality and Lots of Fun to Use
These lightsabers come in a protective box that contains a custom-moulded foam insert to keep the various parts protected. The lightsabers have to be assembled but this is a straightforward process - just screw the metal handles onto the saber sections. That's all there is to it. A threaded connector is provided which allows the two handles to be joined together, forming a double-bladed lightsaber. Also provided is a USB charging cable that allows both sabers to be charged simultaneously. Now to the quality of the lightsabers themselves. The handles are chromed aluminium with horizontal ridges for added aesthetics and improved grip. I opted for the silver colour because it's by far the more Skywalkerish of the two options. A black-handled version is available for folk who are more Vaderesque in their leanings. The sabers power on and off via a circular button on the hilt. A long press switches the lightsaber on. Successive short touches cycle through the seven available colours: (1) dark blue; (2) neon green; (3) red; (4) pale blue; (5) yellow; (6) violet; (7) white. Double-tapping the power button while the saber is operational sends it into flash mode. I'm not a fan of the rapid-flashing effect. The solid light looks immeasurably cooler. When the sabers are on they emit a familiar sound (familiar to anyone who has seen any of the Star Wars films or spin-off series, that is). This droning buzz comes from a speaker located inside the hilt. The bottom of the hilt has six small holes drilled into it in order to let out the sound, which is surprisingly loud. The sound doesn't change when you swing the saber around. The only other sound is the "clash" (which Star Wars fans know well) the blade makes on impact. The central connector has some holes machined in it too, to make sure the sounds have an outlet even when the two light sabres are connected together - plus points for thoughtful design there. The polycarbonate blades are tough and can take a beating. How much of a beating? That's not something I want to find out, as I like these sabers and don't want to break them. I've given them a fair amount of abuse so far - blade against blade, as well as blade against other solid objects - and they've taken it in their stride. At the current price of £52 (down from the RRP of £59.99), this lightsaber 2-pack is pretty good value. There are cheaper, flimsier variations available from other manufacturers, but these (and I have experience of this) break easily and are made from less robust materials. More expensive options are out there too - offering extra sound and light options - but in terms of build quality they aren't any better than these Kiseely lightsabers.Five stars without any hesitation.

Not enough sound effects
The media could not be loaded. The quality of this pair of lightsabers is excellent, I chose the black coated aluminium ones, as I thought they looked nicer. The handles are well turned with no moulding lines, which makes them comfortable to hold. The sabre part is a high impact plastic, which should withstand a reasonable amount of punishment. The only part that lets them down, and so only 4 stars, is the monotonous sound they make, and only the one sound, other than the clashing sound. It would have been nice for some different movement activated combat sounds, like the toy ones we own, they make a whoosh when you swing them, especially if you are partaking in play combat. But to have the same sound no mater what you are doing with them is disappointing. The light effects are great though. You get two lightsabers in the box, broken down so they need to be screwed together. You also get an adapter piece, to join the two together, to make a double edged lightsaber. They come with a double USB C charging cable, which is a nice touch and an Allan key to keep everything tight. The lightsabers are charged via the sockets in the handles, unfortunately no charging plug is supplied, so you will have to repurpose one you already own. While charging a red light will come on, and change to green when fully charged. The charge time is about 4 hours, depending on the state of charge of your batteries. This will give you appropriately 3 hours of playing time. The lightsaber is operated by the button in the handle, a single press turns it on, subsequent single presses will change the colour, a double press activates flashing colours, and a triple press silents all sounds. Pressing the combinations again will switch it back on. A long press will close it all down.Don’t get me wrong, this is a great product, but it could have been even better with some movement sounds, like swishing, and the price could be lower because of this. But my son will love it I’m sure, being a hardened Star Wars fan, so I’m happy to recommend, as long as you can put up with the continuous sound of vaaarooooooom vaaarooooooooom!

Excellent quality, great lights and effects
First impressions are a greta looking boxed set of lightsabersThe light savers duo not disappoint when you open the box, the handles need attaching, which you just screw to the main light part. You have a button on the handle which you press and this Tuens the light on, press again and you have another colour, 7 Colours in total, including, blue, free and red.The Lightsabers react if you hit something with them, the sound changes, which all sounds excellent. You also have an attachment which will join both together, giving you the Darth Maul type lightsaber, looks amazing.Love this set, everything is rechargeable, comes with cable but no USB charger.Super fun set, much better than the cheap ones you see, love them.

Impressive to hold, sturdy as advertised
Unfortunately the light on both wands travels one fifth of the tube. This leaves the sabre somewhat reduced. Also on the outside of the plastic sabre tube, where the metal head meets the tube, disappointing to say the least.A nice looking metal handled hand grip with sturdy wand. Definitely a child’s toy and not really adult. My purchase cost £58 and I have a very disappointed boy on Christmas morning assembled and switched on excitedly his light sabre. Only for the light to travel 5-6 inches along the tube and unfinished manufacturing spoiling the product and day.Alas, I decided to keep the product but hope the manufacturer would offer a refund or replacement or both. I am sure Amazon would have arranged a replacement.
