Great way to keep track of the states you have been to this summer.
In 5th grade school kids must learn the state capitals. This USA placemat makes it so painless. Just learn 2 or 3 a week and by Spring your student will know the answers. Using a place mat is so much easier than making it a big production of getting out materials related to state capitalsor going to a web site to look them up .For younger kids it presents a visual for them to see where they've traveled with the family during the summer. They can even use a dry erase marker to put a dot on the states where they have been. For adults it's presents a great way to review the capitals we ourselves learned in 5th grade.

This is awesome! I got this for my boyfriend and is first anniversary we like to travel and have a few more trips planned so I got this map to mark off what states we have been to!

Big crease on one end.
It was what I was looking for but it had a big crease on one end. Very disappointed!

Brilliant way to teach little ones geography
My 8 yr old son memorizes geography while waiting for his meals now. We also have one with the State flags and one of the Presidents.

We have been trying to help our 10 year old learn his state capitals for fun. (Yeah, we're those kind of nerds!)This two-sided mat was perfect. One side is blank and other has the answers. Is safe for dry erase board markers as well.

my husband is a trucker and we wanted maps so the kids could see which state he is in at meal times. our kids are ages: 6, 4, 2. the map itself is very nice quality. everything a basic map of the u.s. should be. but they are very expensive for a placemat; especially considering my 2 y/o took scissors to two of the three i bought. i ended up finding some with major cities labled and the terrain shows mountains/hills for less than $2. by accident when browsing a store, i bought all they had. if you have younger kids, i'd skip these and look in discount stores. they may be a little less quality wise but not a big deal if they get ruined.

Great for my toddler sized grandkids who were interested to see how far Mimi's house is from theres and the route the airplane took. (Mimi is in NJ, they are in TX).

It is fun and a good way to learn this information
Got this for my grandson who has to learn his states and capitals next year in 5th grade. Thought if I got it now he would have time to work on it. It is fun and a good way to learn this information. Arrived promptly and in good condition.
