This is exactly what I was looking for, about 15 bucks for a decent length durable chain and a nice weather proofed lock is great, it keeps out any possible thiefs from the scrap yard. A 5 star purchase.

Not Waterproof
Each of the two locks I used were exposed to the elements. They may work as advertised if they are sheltered outside from the elements such as on a porch under a roof.My locks rusted very quickly to the point of not being able to lock again. I was sure to keep the cap tightly over the area where the key is inserted each time I was finished using the lock.Just a few minutes ago, in the snow and freezing temperatures, I discovered that moisture found its way under that cap and froze the whole area. I would have to apply heat to be able to insert my key. I just hope it did not rust so deeply that I will not be able to open the lock.

Not for outdoor use!!!
Purchased these for the fence gates. They were on for 2 months and have rusted so badly on the inside that it was nearly impossible to get the key inside the lock. Had to use a hammer to drive it in. Unfortunately, the return window has closed. Do not waste your money on these.

Solid chain
I have a fenced in yard with two gates. Unfortunately I cannot see the side gate. Numerous times my gate has been left open by delivery drivers. Put zip ties on it and they cut those. So I invested in this chain. It certainly does the job! Sturdy and comes with 3 keys. Now I don’t have to run all over the neighborhood to catch my dogs.

lock problems
the chain is heavy duty I'm happy with that, but the lock sticks and its hard to lock up, unlocking isn't a problem, just closing it up is
