2 outta 3!
I used this cutter to make 3 cuts on 2 inch abs and the first cut wasn’t straight because I didn’t secure the pipe, once I put the abs in a vise these cutters gave me two nice straight cuts, make sure you’re holding up the end you’re cutting as you’re making your cut.update 3-31-18, when you use this make sure the blade is cutting in the downward position I made a few more cuts on abs and all came out straight. I’m happy. Thank you

Much better than the red ones I bought.
Much more durable than others. After hurricane Irma hit we were stuck with a ton of repair for our barn and property. I bought the norma red pipe cutter at Home Depot and it broke the blade and stripped the gear within the first few hours. Went back got another and the same thing happened. Saw this one on Amazon and ordered it. Huge difference. It is more durable, cost is a little less and has an enormous amount of leverage so it made the job easier. A really handy tool that does its job well.

Cuts PVC like butter!
I set out to work on making a PVC workstand to perform maintenance on the 1st Avenue recumbent trikes my son and I own, and I bought this cutter to get the proper length of PVC with neater cuts than I could get with a saw. This doesn't have a way to readily "stabilize" the cut and keep it straight, so it does take a little practice to get the hang of cutting the pipe...especially the larger diameter PVC (I am working with 1.25 and 2 inch pipes.) Using this type of cutter isn't best when trimming a rather small amount of pipe from an end (in my case, I noticed it with ~1/2 inch from an end) without something to reinforce the end piece, because otherwise the PVC will deform as the blade applies force to the pipe and make it harder to create a straight cut...for that small trimming job, I ended up using a saw again. This cutter was fantastic at making my initial cuts in 5 foot spans to create pieces that were a few feet in length. It ate right through the 2 inch furniture-grade PVC without issue, so if you have longer spans of piping to cut, I'd definitely recommend using this cutter to make the job easier.

Cutter works as advertised.
I have used these cutters while redoing all the plumbing in my basement. All I cut were 1/2 & 3/4 inch cpvc pipe, and they worked great. All cuts went right through and were straight. When I got done with them I oiled the blade and put them away till next time. I couldn't be more satisfied.. What I thought was strange is that they came with a card that said that 2% of these cutters were defective and if I had any trouble, to contact the seller. Maybe if they checked them before they sold them they could identify the defective ones and not let the customer do it for them. Just sayin'.

The Best Cutter for the Price!
Best pvc pipe cutter I've ever owned. I cut a 2 1/2" pipe today like it was butter. What I like is the small sprocket mechanism. It never misses a tooth so there's never any manual intervention required like the other ones, I was constantly having to manually move to the nect gear. Also, this one sits flush on the pipe so it cuts true. Highly recommend!

Makes unusable crooked cuts.
Makes a very crooked cut even in 1” PVC. The cuts were so far off I couldn’t use them. The cuts in 1 1/2”PVC were way off and unuseable as well. I tried cutting some 1/2” PVC and it was useable but marginal. I definitely would not buy again.

Cuts well for a while
I've had this for about a year and used it a number of times. At first it cut really well. After a while it didn't do so good particularly on schedule 40 pipe. Recently it broke. It should have lasted much longer than it did. I used to it maybe to make 15 or 20 cuts and now it is garbage

Junk. Cutting 2 inch schedule 40, ok the first 4 cuts. After that, blade cut crooked and cracked the pipe. Also it developed a "ding" in blade. Using sawz all now. Returning tool.
