Oprah's Favorite Things - 3.5 Inch German Steel Paring Knife W/Italian Olive Wood Forged Handle

I have been buying top quality paring knives for many, many years. Where I have been purchasing them I have noticed that their quality has diminished greatly. As I was looking through Amazon I saw these knives and ordered 2. Amazing quality and workmanship. The blade could not be sharper. I like the sheave that the knife comes with as it will help keep those knives in top condition for many years to come.

This was a gift and the recipient loves it. Very sharp and very good quality.

It’s a well balanced, if you can say that about a small knife, I use a large santoku sort of knife for almost all duties, I do have a serrated French knife for bread, a fine Narrow Japanese knife for fish , but when you are opening a chili to remove the seeds for instance, this serves very well. It is beautifully made and reasonably priced, I can see nothing not to like here. I haven’t yet a need to sharpen it so can’t report on how fast the edge comes up , but it comes sharp and feels good in the hand. Buy it .

It’s a 3.5 in knife, it says right on the box so idk why Amazon has it listed as 4 in. I got this because I wanted a 4 but I think I’ll keep it regardless. It has nice lines, full tang moderately sharp, steel is mediocre. The olive wood handle does have a nice fit and finish.

It’s sharp and just the right size, perfect for peeling and cutting up vegetables!

I’m not at all picky about the knives I use so I never dreamed a little knife could be so awesome. I will never take knife shopping so lightly again. The weight of the handle is amazing, the tang (in this knife, the metal between the pieces of wood on the handle) goes all the way through it which helps keep it from coming apart, and the wood is comfortable in hand. Excellent knife.

This is a high quality well made knife, but it just isn’t very sharp. Really had a hard time cutting with it.

Totally disagree with negative reviews. No knife stays sharp forever. Just put the edge back on it. You can easily slice through tomatoes with ease. I love it!
