Hama 6942 Sync Cord 6.3mm - PC Plug 5M , Yellow

Very good to connect Nikon D810 and Bowens lights. I used to use wireless trigger but I was always forgetting about batteries. I finally gave up and both this cable. Problem solved. However like someone else mentioned the shoe is very loose and came off easily each time you put the camera away.

I recently bought a Rocwing flashhead, which uses the 6.3mm jack plug socket, a first since all other flashheads I have used require the 3.8mm. Having to buy it, I am, nevertheless, pleased with the purchase. As another reviewer has said, the colour makes it visible and therefore much safer to have trailing around: another point in its favour is that it is very flexible and not prone to tangling. The hot shoe end is a loose-ish fit on my canon camera and a bit tighter on a flash adapter that I have. There is a possibility that it could drop out, but it hasn't happened yet and does not appear, to me, to be much of a problem if it does: all my studio photography is still, so I am not going to miss any action shots. To sum up - it does the job it is supposed to do and it a good product and value for money.

I bought this cable as a replacement for our studio flashes (which started the typical auto trigger behaviour).This cable is better than the rest I found, mainly because of its colour. It really helps distinguish it from the rest of tangled lamp cables and stuff.Nonetheless, note that on the other hand it has exactly the same issues as the other cables: The main problem is that they come off very easily. I guess is the standard design for this type of plug, perhaps to avoid stress on the camera? Anyway, keep in mind these are good enough to stand on a tripod, but a pain as soon as you have to move things around of shoot hand held.

I had to cut off the jack plug and re-wire it with a PC male plug because I needed both ends male-male PC & I couldn't find one that was this long and coloured. Works great now I modified it

I've only ever used Bowens own sync leads at work and I decided to buy my own for personal use. I was surprised at how much better it fit into the camera port, plus it's much longer. The loud colour helps distinguish it from the light power leads too.
