No instructions included. You will need to find a video to figure out how to use it.
This is a tool to tighten and cut metal zip ties. Unfortunately, it did not come with any instructions, and using the tool is not intuitive. I had 3 people (myself and 2 others) try the tool while we were putting up a chain link dog pen. We needed the metal zip ties to secure the fencing to the posts.Person 1: Had no clue how to use the tool and couldn't figure it out.Person 2: Is training as a mechanic, so has a working knowledge of many different types of tools...and he couldn't figure out how to use this tool. He watched a video he found online, wasted several ties, and when he explained to me what he was doing, he couldn't figure out how to properly insert the tie into the hand tool. He never got a tie to successfully tighten.Me: I have worked with hand tools and power tools for years (doing home repairs) and had watched a video. I figured out the tool (where to insert the tie into the hand tool and how to cut the tie), but it took experimenting. I got the tie tight and cut, but the lack of instructions was frustrating.Tips:1) Make sure that the end of the tie is facing the direction that you want. The end will poke up a bit, so it might cut into a tarp or protrude and scratch someone. You won't be able to rotate the tie once it is tight.2) Definitely watch a video to learn how to use the hand tool and the cutting lever. I wound up pushing and pulling before I discovered the right direction on the lever.3) You will need to hand tighten the metal zip tie before putting the zip tie end into the tool. Then hold the hand tool close, as the hand tool will only have 1 squeeze to tighten the tie. The tool is made to pull the zip tie closed the last little bit. I discovered that the hand tool is not made to work like a caulk gun, where each successive squeeze tightens the zip tie more. When you try to do another squeeze, the zip tie is let go. So you get 1 squeeze to tighten the remaining looseness out of the zip tie. Then cut off the end using the lever.Once you get the hang of it, I like the idea of using this tool. However, getting the hang of the tool takes a bit of practice (as the zip tie slips out easily). And they definitely need to include some written instructions (with pictures!) on how to use the tool.I almost took off 2 stars due to lack of instructions, but the hand tool looks like it is well made and should last.

Stopped my husbands swearing
We use these stainless steel zip ties to hold our old chain link fence together. Been using black nylon ties for years but the rot in the sun. These do not.The problem is cutting them and pulling them tight. We have been using pilers and wire cutters. I finally bought this one since it’s an excellent price. Hubby loves it and a lot less swearing:)

A More Durable Alternative to Regular Zip Ties
If you need something stronger than a zip tie this is a good answer. These are really easy to use. Loop it through whatever you need. Put the end back into the clasp. Place the extra into the tool. Squeeze until the desired tightness. Then turn the level to cut. You will need a 2 inches of extra to be able to use the tool to squeeze it tighter. Squeezing it isn't required to cut it... So if you don't have the excess 2inches its no problem.WARNING...The cut end makes for sharp corners... if that is a concern you can round them off with some strong toenail clippers. If your clippers can't get a good cut rock it up and down while cutting and it will break off.

No instructions, cable ties are fragile
This cable tie gun did not come with any instructions so I had no idea how to actually use it until I looked up the instructions online. The cable ties themselves are also very flimsy and the latches have broken many times while installing or before installing.

Easy to Use and Works Great
Used these for the first time to hold back a heavy part on the car while I worked on it . It was an easy to use tool with strong bands that held over twenty pounds hanging weight. I was surprised how tough the band s are when it was time to remove them. I twisted and pulled and they held together even when I made a loop and twisted three or four times they did not fail and sun and heat will not bother them like regular plastic ties.

Good alternative for permanent zip ties
Great for permanent installations where you want a strong and tight seal. These aren't professional grade but they're pretty good and should last through normal use.

When You Need Stronger Than Plastic Ties This Is The Tool
The media could not be loaded. I strung 3 of the 10" ties together to put around the heat shield on my truck to stop the rattling. These Stainless Steel (SS) ties can handle the heat which regular plastic ties cannot. The tie gun works great and yes, you can undo the ties once they are looped - I show you how in the video. I recently ordered the 24" SS ties to also use with this gun. These are stronger than their plastic counterparts and can withstand heat and weather better. If you order SS ties for a specific task remember you lose about 2" just to be able to use the tie gun.
