Photography Studio Lockable Swivel Castors with 75mm Wheels, for Light Stands, Tripods Studio Booms, Suitable for 25mm diameter legs

These are brilliant and I highly recommend them for heavyweight booms. I have one that takes a 10k load, and although I would never fully load any boom you can imagine it’s difficult to move with a 150cm Octa on the end of a 3m boom. These are so easy to put on and to fix securely and they lock solid, and once on they are really smooth.Looking at the negative reviews it looks like a mixture of people ordering the wrong size and not using the plate provided to tighten the wheels on to the stand. I would definitely take that couple of seconds to measure the diameter of your stands legs, it will pay in the long run. Also check the bag that your wheel comes in there is a small plate in their that tightens your wheel to the leg, the only job of the screw is to tighten this plate, the screw itself isn’t what holds your wheels on.I have now run the wheels over ever concievable indoor surface without any problems at all. I highly recommend these and I consider them amazing value. However, as light stand legs come out at about 45° and tripod legs at about 60° when in its usual stance, it would be almost impossible for these wheels to function correctly on both. That is unless you widen the legs on your tripod, but you would then lose height. I think it’s incorrect to advertise these as being for a tripod, and the only wheels I’ve ever seen for a tripod are on a dolly for videography. I use them on a lighting stand and it is for that purpose I have written my review.

Although the castors were strong and well made they were totally unsuitable to use on a tripod. Unless the legs of the tripod could be splayed out Almost flat (like a lighting stand) the swivel base was at an angle (see photo 1). When the castor was turned through 90 degrees it tilted over and was impossible to move (see photo 2). If the castors has been bought for a lighting stand they may have been fine but I would certainly NOT recommend them for a tripod.

I have reviewed this elsewhere. These castors are angled at 45 degrees whereas most tripods open legs to 30 degrees, so tracking is not effective

One wheel had a defective locking mechanism and the other was a different colour, which if I’m honest I could have lived with… however during setup I noticed the third castor had a smaller diameter insert of 22mm, which made the whole lot unfit for purpose.Seems like pot luck when ordering, disappointed and have started returns process. Might opt for the slightly more expensive set.

Great product.. fitted our c-stand perfectly. only criticism is locking pin could be a little longer.

Very good but it was a wrong purchase as it's too small for my heavy duty C Stand. Still money that I no longer have.

In the bin and absolutely, without any doubt the worst product I have ever bought on Amazon. Tried to adapt when I saw how badly they worked out of the box but they are really that bad. Lesson learned

I gave these a shot as buying these and retro fitting my current C-stands was way cheaper than buying a whole new wheeled stand.I was relieved to find the fitted perfectly and angled perfectly fine. Bonus is the C-stand tri-pod legs actually close fine with the wheels attached!I'll buy another few sets so I have options.
