🔊 Elevate Your Sound Experience!
The BFA Type Banana Plugs offer a versatile solution for connecting speaker wires with five model options, including straight and right-angle designs. Each plug features gold-plated brass for optimal signal transmission and comes with heat shrink tubing for easy installation. The color-coded design helps distinguish sound channels, making it a perfect fit for home theater systems.

Good solution for speakers with crappy connectors
The "banana plug" in the item description is a little misleading, as these are not banana plugs, but instead provide a braided wire connection to insert directly into the hole of a push-to-connect speaker terminal. These are easy to install and use, and provide a much more reliable connection (no stray strands of speaker wire) than using bare speaker wire. Since the housings of these connectors are a little large for closely spaced speaker terminals, and I don't trust anodization or paint as an insulation solution, I put a piece of heat shrink tubing on one of each pair to avoid any shorts.

Harder to install then some other similar products
I needed 12 bananna plugs to connect my project which was installing an "A-B Box". I had 4 plugs leftover from some past project so I bought 8 of these. The four plugs which I had on hand were extremely simple to install. Twist off the outer shell, shove in the stripped wire and screw on the outer shell which mashed and crimped all the wires into a secure connection. The 8 new connectors which are the ones being connected were a bit more difficult. Twist off the outer shell, loosen two tiny set-screws which were very easy to over loosen to the point where they fell out, shove in the stripped wire, tighten the two tiny set-screws making sure that they are completely tight so that the outer shell will slip over them, and then screw on the outer shell. Not too difficult but each took twice as long to install as the ones I had on hand. If I ever need more bananna plugs in the future, I am going to be looking for the easy kind. But these work well and now that they are installed will serve the purpose.

Connectors shorting out to each other
While these plugs start off looking pretty amazing, the quality is very nice, the retention system is great but, the metal outer shells are made of aluminum and they attached to the wire so that when you attach them to the back of your stereo system and the jacks touch it shorts out the positive to the negative and causes the amp to overheat. Needed to cover them in tape to make it work. Disappointed

They work
These work, but in order to get them to work you must forst remove the crushed peice of what looks like heat shrink tubing. If you don't the wires will not go in. There could also be one less part. The wre fotting screws into the terminal end and the cover screws on to that.

Shorts out
The product is nice however it is a poor design. There is no protection from the outer jacket, once you connect the wire the entire jacket becomes live. When I plugged them into my speaker box, they touched and it creates a short between the positive and negative. bottom line is you must keep the two wires separated.

Difficult to differentiate between red and black
The color of the plugs are not easily distinguishable when plugging in to the devices especially behind receivers and speakers. The plugs are all red with white or black writings which is hard to differentiate. Otherwise installing speaker wire was easy and price is good. If the color differentiation was more pronounced it would have been an excellent product.
