Silvers: Quest Academy, Book 1

Great characters , unique and inventive magic system , well written and full of action .
Actually stumbled upon this book from a review on a few group , read the quick pitch on the amazon blurb and thought it sounded interesting. Have to say it took me by surprise how much I enjoyed it . The characters were well written , the magic system and stats were done exceptionally well and there wasn't an overload of filler stats like some books in this genre have a tendency to throw in . The world building is reasonably slow but has left scope for loads of stuff thats hinted at but not quite gone into in this first installment . Reminds me slightly of the super powereds series by drew Hayes which is another really cool academy style series in the genre . All in all very much worth a read and I'll be looking forward to more in the series and by the author.

A fantastic book to read
The story drew me in straight away, it has relatable and varied characters! The world portrayed is unique and i really enjoyed imagining the architecture of each scene. The mix of superpowers is great creating fun fight scenes and also mixing in a bit of humour. I also like the setting where the main character's power is not physical strength (Marvel and the like) but is something unique (while still powerful) that can help and improve others and in combination creating fantastic fight scenes. The book also has a well paced storyline, it is well written and engaging. While I never used to read LitRPG, I've now discovered a new genre for myself and can't wait for the book No. 2, will be checking for updates!!

Great pacing, character dynamic and the storyline. Keeps reader engaged at all times. Love the length of chapters, especially when on the road. Hard cover a must have.

Pleasantly surprised!
I saw this book and it looked interesting, I didn’t really think much of it at first but boy was I glad to be wrong. I had such a blast reading this book, it was written very well, the characters were for the most part fun and complex. The way the combat played out was especially well done. The interactions between the characters felt quite natural.I was however worried that the main character would end up having a harem but I’m very glad to be mistaken for that. Though I must admit that all the attention he receives from many of the women is a little strange.Overall I’m excited for the next book!

Top of the Academy
This is a great approach for such a new author and showcases writing beyond the fame they have. With any new series, the world building is a must-have, and this one is well thought out, and I found surprisingly indepth for the book size. Plenty of hints for the future and a concise breakdown about levelling/ skills are given. Without being too stat heavy, the mix of invention and action keeps this well paced and intriguing main characters involve the reader into the story. So yet another series/author to add to my massive list if must reads.

LitRPG done right
I binged this book in one sitting, and it isn't a short one; books in this genre which take more than a few hours to read aren't particularly common and it was great to be able to sink my teeth into a proper story. I'd almost categorise this as slice of life, with the book's focus being on our protagonist's time at Quest Academy. You can read the synopsis in the book's 'blurb' so I'll focus on my overall impressions. The characters are well-rounded and believable. A good mix of powers, the LitRPG elements are incorporated with a light touch to very good effect (no constant, meaningless stat updates), MC is OP but not in a way which breaks the story. I found myself comparing this novel favourably with the superb Super Powereds series on several occasions.A final note - this is one of the few books in this genre that managed to incorporate romance/sexual elements without making me think it had been written by a 14 year old. The interactions of the characters are very believable given their ages and, remarkably, I didn't find myself cringing at any point! An excellent start to a new series and I'm really looking forward to the next installment.

5 To Trying Our Best.... And Winning Stars
Quest Academy: Silvers the first book in the series by Brian J. Nordon.I have been finding some truly amazing new reads lately. I already wish this was a full 10 book series, so I could just dive in and fully explore the world building and system mechanics. I'm excited to see how far his time at the academy pushes the boundaries of what Sal believes himself capable of. Even now, it's almost being forced upon, even in his Support role, to go out and experience battle himself. His ability is outstanding and so full of unexplored potential. The capability to copy and use other skills at the highest degree transitioning into unraveling the blockages in their power to make them even more powerful. To be able to bring about the next generations' fullest potential! He is fighting against social stigma surrounding the Support classification and outlining their true capabilities. I find it so outrageous and funny that the Offense fighters are outraged that his using his abilities to win against them.Beyond that, their war against the invading Demon world seems to be unveiling mysterious new discoveries. Even now, 60 years after they invasion began. I'm excited to unearth even more unknowns in the future.

Wild ride
First of all I’d like to say this is one of the best gamelit/LITRPGS I’ve read this year, which is saying a lot as I’ve finished around 137 this year to date. The pacing was perfect, the system was well thought out and executed. The world building and personalities behind each character whether they be background or plot focused were well done. I’m thoroughly looking forward to the next book in the series and having now finished this the impatience I will have with waiting will hound me relentlessly to no extent. Thank you.

Great Start
This is a great start to a new series. The power system is an interesting mix of superpowers and technology. The setting is good and there are still plenty left to uncover after the end of the end of the book. This book also has good side characters.
