Wealth of Knowledge
This easy-to-follow guide to the medicinal benefits of plants is very well written with great advice and beautiful photographs. William knows his stuff, and his passion for the subject is obvious. I have always enjoyed Goldthread tonics (William's company), so I thought I'd try to learn more about the ingredients that he chooses for his tonics and why. This book explains the selection of specific plants for overall health, but also provides the background information on general health (hydration, sleep, internal balance, etc.) and ideas for responding to life adversities. Great recipes too!I admittedly have a short attention span when reading books, so I really like being able to engage on a specific topic, get some ideas, and give it a try. I'll keep this book handy as a reference going forward for years. I'll still drink the tonics for the convenience, but I'll add some of these ingredients and ideas to help with my daily health.

This book is a great read for those looking to educate themselves on the healing power of foods. It's a lot of information to take in, but I can already tell this book will be an asset in my family's holistic journey.

It is incredible how much I still have to learn about nature and the overall wellness it can provide to body and mind.This book not only reveals what many of us overlook in our daily routines, it also provides practical advice for different symptoms and situations so that you are not overwhelmed. It goes deep into the sources, benefits, and history of myriad plants, nutrients, spices, etc., yet it is well-written and easy to follow. Beautiful photography as well. Must be amazing to travel the globe like William does. I can tell this book was a significant undertaking but also a fulfilling one.Anyway, excellent book, whether you are a health nut or know someone who could use some proven, natural remedies for whatever ails you.

beautiful info packed book
love this book! I've been trying out some protocols with the family over the past month and love how easy and flexible the practices are. just about getting more herbs into your system to help with energy, balance, and overall well-being. Works really well to make large batches of bitters etc. so that you have them on hand throughout the week.. highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about how herbs can help with many of the issues we deal with in the modern world i.e. stress, digestive issues, sleep disruption etc.

Accessible and practical guide to the best nature has to offer
This book is wealth of knowledge provided in an accessible and practical way to incorporate the best nature has to offer into one's daily life. Already feeling the benefits of just incorporating just a few adaptogens (see picture) into different meals and daily drinks. So many easy, practical things explained in this book that it's almost impossible not to adopt some of them and improve how you feel on a daily basis.

love the pictures, and all the information provided, definitely a coffee table book to inspire guests to dive deeper into self care, and so forth.

So much information
I love this book! It has taken me a while to review it because each time I pick it up I get lost in the pages. There is an amazing amount of information included and so many things to try. I like that there are different recipes to achieve the same goal so if something is not to your taste you can find another choice. Although a few of the ingredients are a bit more exotic I find many of them locally without trouble.William is very thorough in his explanations and directions. I feel as if I am receiving an advanced education on the many plants, seeds, and herbs discussed within. I tend to stay away from most medications so am very happy to be able to find alternatives here.I would recommend the hard copy of the book as I find myself flipping back and forth through the pages as I read, which is not so easy on an e-reader. The photos are gorgeous as well as descriptive. There are many sources listed at the back of the book and the index is very useful.
