After a snowboarding trip left me with tailbone pain that lasted weeks, it took me a while to work up the courage to go again. With these shorts, I felt a lot more confident and had a lot more fun riding. When I did end up falling, I barely felt any shock. They are super comfortable and well made. Most of the bad reviews seem to talk about the sizing. I took a chance since the only size left in stock was XL and they fit me perfectly (29" waist). There are velcro straps that allow you to tighten them if they are too loose. With all the flexing and squatting you're doing on a snowboard, going bigger is always better. I'm pretty thin and I can't imagine someone bigger going any smaller than an XL. Notice the negative reviews about the pads not aligning properly are from people who bought large.

I wear US size 38 pants and ordered an XL and they fit perfectly. This size would also fit a 36 very well. Very comfy, they don't get hot, and the padding is a good balance of protection and not being too bulky.
