Day one of Mermay
I loved the brushes, easy to use and gave a great line. The drawing was done using the black ink brushes. They are a great value for money and flow smothly and consistant in live width but versatile when you need the line to vary in thickness. Colour is very good and scans brilliantly 👏 ❤

Would have been great but....
When the pens arrived one of them was nearly completely empty of ink. They might have been great, but I had to return them, disappointing.

smooth flow
I ordered these for the brush tip which is my favorite type of tip for cartooning (see my 1 minute fun photo lol) Manga , Chibi's etc. These brushes are quite juicy. They flow wonderfully, are water based pigment ink so you can blend etc. I will use these for shading and some quick cartoons etc. They would be great if you are into Calligraphy as they have a smaller nib with easy control if that is your thing. There is a fine liner included which is VERY fine. It is always good to have a fine liner in your art arsenal. They are a good price for what you get these days.

Good Quality Materials and a Nice Pack For Exploring Ink Drawing
I do not do a lot of pen or ink drawing in general, but do occasionally try to participate in things like INKTOBER. I really like that the Kuretake ZIG INKTOBER Special Set No. 2 provides a really neat combination of Brush and Fineliner pens for drawing. I am familiar with ZIG brand and have always found their products to be of a good, reliable quality. So far this set has impressed me.I am familiar with using pens like the FUDEGOKOCH and the fine line ZIG Cartoonist, but am so glad that this set includes the ZIG Cartoonist Opaque Liner, the Zig Clean Color Real Brush, and the KURETAKE BIMOJI "Cambio" Large. These are 3 pens that I probably would not have thought to purchase separately, but make for a fun exploration into different techniques used in ink drawing and illustrations or Manga drawing. I would definitely recommend giving these a try.

Don't sleep on this!!!
Kuretake has become one of my all-time favorites when it comes to brush pens and ink. I'm not a fan of the mangaka 003 simply because it's not pigmented enough, it's finicky and often has to be gone over. The nib is a bit too tough imo. The white brush pen is okay, but it will hopefully be improved. I know they've been trying different kinds recently so fingers crossed for the future! With everything being water-based, it's fun for loose sketching with the inclusion of light watercolors (pencils then brush or just brush).I can say with full confidence that I'll be purchasing some more sets when I can. Out of all the ones included, the fude pen and cartoonist brush pen no. 22 are currently tied for favorite.
