I have spent twice the amount on precut stitch holders made from the same material and displayed in a cute little tin. Having 54 yards of 2mm tubing is the same thing but I have way more than I need and was able to share with others.

Several months after unboxing, this is still releasing crazy rubber VOCs. Makes it hard to use because the plastic smells so bad. It works, I guess. But why would you subject yourself to the smell?

I purchased this cord to use as stitch holders for my knitting projects. They work perfectly. I gave one less star because I didn’t like the odor that emitted from it when initially received.

It has a very slight chemical smell when first opened so what I did was to leave it sitting out for a couple of days and that worked. I've used it a lot and the smell doesn't transfer to my garments. This was tested after wet blocking.

I bought this to transfer stitches onto when knitting. It slides onto the tips of my knitting needles easily, and does what it's supposed. However, it has an absolutely awful smell to it. It's been a month since arriving, and I've tried putting it in a Ziploc with baking soda, leaving it out in the sun, vinegar, and a few other methods to remove odor, and while the smell isn't quite as strong as when it arrived, it's still strong enough to make any yarn or project bags that come in contact with it smell for a couple days after.If you want to use it for knitting, it gets the job done, but expect your project to smell of a nauseating combination of chemicals, burnt hair, and burnt bone

I really appreciated the quality of this product, but I can't get past the fact that it smells like SKUNK! It's making everything near it smell too, and it's not getting better😭🤢* Really wish I would have read reviews first.

I wish this product didn't emit such a horrid odor, because it would have been perfect otherwise. I just can't get over how strong the chemical smell is. It's unbearable, it truly is. I wish I would have read the other reviews before purchasing. Back to Amazon it goes!

I haven't tried to use it on needles bigger than 3.75mm (US 5), but it works perfectly to slip the stitches off (and back onto) the 3.75 needle. It's so handy for trying on top-down sweaters, and for holding stitches while waiting to use them, such as in Ambah's Supernova Shawl. Many thanks to @LauraNelkin for recommending buying the big spool!

I put it outside to air out because it smells horrendously of an overseas diesel factory. It's been months and it still stinks.I bought to use to hold knitting stitches, but theres no way it can touch my knit work and make them stink too. Bleh. Yuck. That's all.
