The Forager's Harvest Bible: The Ultimate Guide to Wild Food and Edible Plants Foraging, Identification and Harvesting | Culinary Creations and Preparations Included

I got 2 books one for me and one for my mom. I think it has some good info in the book.

This book is so vague and really not useful at all. My copy was made the day after I purchased it according to the date in the back of it. NO ISBN number on it. There are no color pictures included to help with identification. The author suggests using an app for identification of plants or referencing other books. There are only a handful of plants referenced in the book as well as only a few recipes for them. For a book that is “6 in 1”, I would expect a bit more meat to it! This appears to me to be a money grab. I am not happy and will be returning. I will also be more vigilant when choosing books as it seems that AI is indeed being utilized here and I do not believe any sort of real research went into its making.

The media could not be loaded.  Recently I've been wanting to learn how to identify edible plants in the wild and in my search I found this book which has a lot of information. It didn't just teach me how to identify edible plants but it also taught me how to harvest, ferment, preserve and infuse different wild food. It has truly opened my eyes to the abundance of edible plants that are outdoors. Thanks to this book I know when and where to look for them.

A lot of great information but this is not at all what I expected. There are not pictures of the food you’re foraging so it makes it a lot harder to identify just by a brief description.

This book isn’t a Bible, it could kill someone. It’s basically a third grader’s introduction to foraging.Photos don’t match descriptions, as in the photo I posted the burdock root information goes along with potatoes. The jam recipes have no guidance on storage of non-processed jars, which could be deadly. There is minimal information on mushrooms and their possible dangers. They are so hard to differentiate WITH photos and descriptions, encouraging someone to pick them with no other guidance could be deadly.This book’s description is deceptive, and I highly recommend finding a more suitable book.I recommend looking elsewhere for a “Bible” on foraging.

Great book

The book is 141 pages total but is printed in very large text. Although positive identification of plants is heavily stressed, there are no color photos and very few black and white ones to show you what the plants look like. You can find photos on the Internet, but you could also find the information, so what's the point of buying the book? There are some recipes and preparation advice, but I need a book I can take in the field to make sure I'm harvesting the right plants. This one isn't it.

Needs more pictures but still a great book.
