Just a interesting meter to have
Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist - but seeing this item made me want to get it and see how it works. While I don't expect any nuclear accidents or bombs, it never hurts (except in the pocketbook) to have. We do have a nuclear power plant within 20 miles away but that is being decommissioned. In any event, I purchased a set of vintage Fiestaware plates (decades and decades ago, the paint in the dinnerware was made with radioactive pigments) and it did have a reading. Good observation meter to show to friends. In an emergency?

I suppose it works
So far it hasn't alerted to any high radioactivity. I'm assuming it works at this point. Seems to be fairly straight forward to use. Overall it's worth a try.

Cool thing
I don’t know much about the scales of radiation and I am currently learning about them.Being from Europe I was always curious about Chernobyl and its aftermath. You never know what can happen. It’s good to have this to check radioactivity levels at certain locations or products. Some people look for the uranium glass at thrift stores- I guess that would be useful for them.I don’t know how other dosimeters work since it’s my first one, but I think it’s working properly. Haven’t noticed anything abnormal about it.Thank you.

Interesting Item to Have In a Crazy World.
This is an interesting little device that with nice display screen for readings with common sense easy to understand operational buttons. They broke my pet peeve rule however on the little manual that comes with it written in microfiche tiny like print that you nearly need a magnifying glass to read. Why do they do that. Very poor judgement on their part. Also, in is very sparse on information and should be much more informative about the device and radiation in general. I get other technical devices that have much better and informational instructions and manuals all the time for every level of user understanding. The device itself is fine, the support material is greatly lacking. Have to remove a star for that.
