Perfect bouncy curls
I selected this hair curling wand with for hair styling. This one gets hot really fast and has to be used with the included glove unless you are a pro at not burning your fingers. It's a very lightweight iron. I think it's good for travel. It is easy to use and having a tapered end makes it easier to hold the ends when doing a countdown to release the curl. The girls come out pretty. Turn into loose waves once sitting for a while. it is just awesome

A Well Performing Budget Hair Curler
My partner was after a budget hair curler that she could take away on holidays/nights away without the fear of damaging/losing her main one and this seemed to be a perfect choice. The range of heat offered spans from 100°C to a maximum of 230°C and this can be adjusted in 10°C increments using the '+' and '-' buttons on the wand. The handy LCD screen ensures you know when this is on/off and the current temperature, this is a bit more obvious than her current curler which has a manual dial for the temperature and a tiny red LED to indicate that they're on. The bright blue LCD screen definitely reduces the risk of accidentally leaving these on!The slippiness of the wand itself can be a bit of an issue since this doesn't have a clamp. However, the included glove offers a bit of protection against the heat which comes in handy for holding the curl in place. My partner did say that the glove was not a miracle worker and the heat still does get through. The glove wasn't great quality right out of the box either but that can be forgiven given the £24.99 price point.Overall, she happily recommends this but said that it's probably more for someone who has experience curling hair rather than someone's first curler. If you're looking for a first time curler, stick to the clamp designs.

Good for the price
It's been a while since I used a curling tong, and I'm used to using tongs with a clamp to hold the hair in place, so this took a bit of practice using the glove and simply holding the hair in place. The wand itself is extremely slippery. This and the lack of clamp seems to make it less likely for hair to get tangled up in any way. The downside is it's quite hard to keep the hair in one place – it tends to slip right to the narrow end, so not ideal if you're trying to achieve looser curls. There is a wide heat range, all the way up to 230 degrees. When curling my daughter's hair (she has thick, long hair, but I curled just a top layer for some random curls), even as low as 110 degrees the curls were forming pretty well when holding the hair on the tong for about 10 seconds. A higher heat will be required to achieve curls that last super well, but it's good to know you can get a temporary curl at a low heat, minimising heat damage to the hair.Other pros: It heats up really quickly and it has an auto shut off button (60 minutes).Using the supplied glove does make it a bit difficult to pick out sections of the hair smoothly, but the glove is definitely necessary to avoid burnt fingers. That said, do beware that the glove doesn't offer 100% protection, you can certainly feel the heat through it.I think we'll enjoying experimenting with this wand further to become expert. All in all, though not 100% perfect or 100% easy to use, I think it's a good product for the price.

Good but nothing special
The media could not be loaded. This is my fourth hair curler and it does what is says in the box, however I have a few points against it which are detailed below. So first for the pros:It includes a glove (use it!)The temperature range is great, 100 to 230 degrees. It locks automatically after 10 seconds of not touching any buttons (see video). There is a plastic bit to keep the curler raised when you put it down. The display will keep blinking until the curler has reached the selected temperature. It is quite fast to heat up and that's great! It produces nice curls even when heating more hair together.Cons:The wand is quite slippery and I wish there was a clip to keep the hair still while heating. Because of this, it is a bit difficult to keep the hair still while you wrap it around the wand and I found myself having to start again on a hair strand quite a few times. The tip of the hair is quite difficult to curl and I did burn my fingers so it is best to use the included glove (see picture).Overall is not a bad product but I have used better ones.

Great
Works great, I don't use it, don't have enough hair, but my daughters have used it and they say it works really well. There are no issues with it. Nice one.

Worth getting used to
I haven't used a curling iron in a really long time so it's neat to see how they've innovated since then. I really like the temperature control, as well as the handy instructions that help you decide what temperature you'll want. It recommended 100 degrees for thin hair, so I used that and it worked great. I really appreciate that feature, as the last thing I want to do is damage my already thin hair.I like that this has a little "kickstand" to keep it off the countertop, as well as a heat resistant glove for safe handling. I was confused about the necessity for that at first, as I'd burned myself with curling irons a million times but never on the hand. Then I realized that this was all one piece - it doesn't open up and clamp on your hair like I was used to. I remember how much easier that made things but also that it ended up making the ends weird if you didn't do it just right (I did not do it just right, lol).So this took some time for me to get used to. Sort of like trying to crochet when you're a knitter (or vice versa), your muscle memory wants to be doing one set of actions but you really need to be doing another. Trying to use this like an old school curling iron wasn't working, especially as the surface is very smooth and your hair slides right off it. Even holding the hair in place with a gloved hand (I am now *very* thankful for that glove!) wasn't quite working so eventually I had to change how I was holding this and work with what it is and not with what I was used to. I changed up how I wrapped my hair, how I held it, until I got it more or less right and suddenly I was getting bouncy spirals with no weird ends and no overheated hair.So there's a little bit of a learning curve if you haven't used this type before but I think it's really worth it. And the tapered rod lets you play a bit with how big you want your curls to be, which is another fun innovation. The only thing more that I could ask for is some indication that it's up to temperature but that's a lot to ask for such a reasonably priced curling iron. Either way, I'm really looking forward to trying out new looks with this.

Very versatile and easy to use.
I wanted a curling iron my daughter and I could both use, even though I have very fine hair and she has a mop of thick coarse hair. So I ordered this, and I am happy to say it works very well.THE GOOD:The size of the barrel goes from 1/2 to 1 inch. I use the small side, the kid uses the large size. The barrel is made of ceramic material and is long.It heats up very fast.14 different heat settings. My favorite: The power cord swivels! No more tangled cords.LCD temperature display. The tip of the wand does not get hot. There is a stand that keeps the barrel off the counter. The bad:It took my daughter several tries to make beach waves successfully. All in all, I like the curling wand and it is reasonably priced.

Does A Good Job For A Fair Price
This thing works for the job that it's intended to do. Bonus for coming with a glove. The price is the thing that is a major positive. It's very affordable. I love curly hair and this gives the wife those curls that drive me up a wall! She loved it. Said it was fast to heat up and easy to use. She specifically liked the swivel cord and that it's something you won't appreciate until you actually use it. Once you go swivel cord, you won't go back!Anyway, I'd highly recommend this curler to anyone who wants curlier hair. Or anyone who wants others to have curlier hair, since I don't have much.

Love this Curling Wand! Works perfectly!
I always wanted a curling wand because it gives me beautiful and loose curls as opposed to a Curling Iron that I never get right. I have long, thick and naturally curly hair that I flat Iron just to use this,(I know it might defeat the purpose) but this wand works perfectly and I love the results. It heats up in about 30 seconds, it has 14 heat settings, a nice long cord and it's very easy to use. I like the Scalding glove that comes with it. It's an extremely well made wand, it actually does what it says it will do and it makes my hair look fantastic!
