Great for people who suffer from insomnia
I've read umpteen brilliant footballer biographies - this isn't one of them. Maybe Joey is trying to portray himself as a wordsmith and deep thinker, but comes across as plain boring. I doubt I'll have the stamina to get half way through this book before it goes to the Salvation Army charity shop.UPDATE: Yep, didn't even manage to get a quarter way thru this book. A painful read.

Rubbish
Talk about pretentious, this book is full of rubbish, a professional footballer doing the things Barton did is inexcusable. He does not deserve a review he helped no one but himself. Sorry I wasted a few hours on this book.

Highly recommended
My opinion of Mr Barton has definitely changed. A highly intelligent misunderstood man. A very well written book which I thoroughly enjoyed. Hes not such a bad chap, and the depth to him is quite a pleasant surprise.

Well worth reading.
Excellent. Revealing, interesting and well written. I'm looking forward to the sequel to find out where it went wrong at Rangers. Highly recommended to anyone interested in football and how it works behind the scenes. This is a no holds barred, warts and all biography.

No nonsense is Joey Barton
An interesting and enjoyable read which is an honest account of Joey Bartons life. It was nice to read his side and experience of things and not the medias view which is very distorted to make headlines. It was refreshing to hear his honest views and not skirt around topics telling you what you want to hear.

Top read
Brilliant read and listen(I also got the audible version) Joe has his critics but my word he is a very interesting character and makes one hell of a lot of sense ,hope he gets the chance to manage a decent club sometime soon ,he will be great .

Reading this book has made me look at Joey in a different light, it's a well written, honest and gritty read.

Eye opening
I've always held pretty strong views on Joey Barton and they weren't positive. His book however is eye opening, he doesn't make excuses for mistakes that he has made and it unbelievably open and honest. He's one of the few people in the game not afraid to be himself and the book gave me a new found respect for what he has achieved as a player and a man. Great read. Highly recommended.
