ODYSSEYPC1200MJT Automotive and LTV Battery

I have the Odyssey PC1200 battery in my Willie Boat, Jet boat. This battery came with the boat when I purchased it in 2004. Seventeen years later, the battery started to lose its charge or at least I could not fully trickle charge the battery. So, I purchased a new replacement. Depending on who you buy the battery from, it comes with the SAE battery connectors already attached. Some suppliers sell the battery at a lower cost buy you will need to buy the connectors.I have the highest regards for this maintenance free battery. The boat and battery sit outdoors in weather from 90+ to 30 below zero and it just keeps firing up when boating season begins. I have never had a single issue with this battery.It is compact.Even though this is listed a primarily an auto battery, it functions exceptionally well in my jet boat. This is an outstanding battery.

Odyssey makes a great battery, and this one is no exception. It's small and lighter than the default size in a wet cell for my vehicle, two bonuses on top of the great performance. The price compared to a direct replacement for me was less than $100 more, but will give 2-3x the service life of a wet cell. Likewise, this battery gives better reserve and much better cold-weather starts and can be neglected without a tender for longer, as well. As the Odyssey is smaller, you may need to come up with a solution for securing it in your vehicle. The Odyssey mount #HDK1200 will not work with the metal jacketed version of this battery. If you do not need the jacketing and want to use the #HDK1200 then you might need to be looking at the PC1200, PC1200T or PC1200LT, depending on the format your vehicle uses.One note: Odysseys are built modularly with some parts shared across multiple designs. In this case, the top posts are hollow and threaded, which is nice as it comes with matching bolts that allow auxiliary devices to be attached directly on top. However, the top posts also bolt on, and on mine the negative was loose. I kept tightening the pinch bolt on my cable but a wiggle was still present; turns out the problem was with the battery having a loose binding bolt for the post, easily corrected with a 5mm Allen key. If you go with an Odyssey, which you arguably should, ensure the posts are firmly attached before installing.

I bought this in January, 2020... I didn't even have it in a MONTH when my car started acting all haywire!! My car radio went beserk, starter was wishy-washy about starting the car, etc. BUT the BIGGEST problem that I could see was that my battery.. THIS battery.. Was ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT a DOUBT, was ALWAYS DEADER THAN A DOORNAIL!! It wouldn't hardly even allow a CHARGE!! If I went someplace, the battery had to be JUMPED both at my HOME just to get started & again at WHEREVER I WAS just to go home!! I finally took it in to a pro shop to get it fixed and to see WHAT might be draining it all the time, and found out that NOT ONLY was I informed that THIS BATTERY is NOT AT'TOL FOR AUTOMOBILES!! NOT ONLY did it FRY my RADIO, but amongst other things, I had to REPLACE A BRAND NEW ALTERNATER!!!! NOW all of a sudden, which it never did before when I asked AMAZON to find me a battery for my car, it has a RED ADVISORY that it DOES NOT FIT to MY CAR!!So, besides being the 1st battery (on here) of ALMOST $300.00, I had to spend an ADITIONAL $1,148.00 to FIX the DAMAGES it did to MY CAR!!! I am EXTREEMELY NOT HAPPY with this BATTERY I BOUGHT from AMAZON!!! It didn't even LAST 9 MONTH'S!!-

So much better than the slightly cheaper batteries. Installed in my Generac 24kwh generator. Stays charged all the time and fires right up 1 and month to exercise the engine.

The stock Polaris razor battery is barely good enough to begin with. It wouldn't power my NOAM system, that being said, I added not only that system but also a 12-in kicker L7 and the 800.1 kicker amp. With this battery I can run it full volume with no issues. I can also run the accessory lights at the same time.

Last purchased Apr 20, 2020. Best battery ever for my PT Cruiser.Car is known for electrical issues. So not having to call AAA ever in 2 years brings me happiness...Neither Summer nor Winter will defeat this battery !!Update March 2023:I finally had to replace my AGM after 3 great years. I only drove long distances on the weekends.Just learned about sulfation and now have a charger specifically designed to fix the issue. Alas I was a little late to save my AGM. If you only drive less than 10,000 miles a year, best to desulfate and sort of recondition the battery a few times a year.[Batteries develop sulfation each time they are used (discharged - recharged). If they are overcharged or undercharged or left discharged, some for even just several days, they will rapidly develop sulfate. This battery was a great additional. The car starts right up, no lag when turning the ignition. Shipping was quicker then I also thought it would be. I'd definitely purchase this again.
