This is a beautiful quality blanket. It is a perfect layer for adding early fall warmth to your bed. I was delighted with how soft it is, truly no itchiness for nearly pure wool. The colours are wonderful! Such a cheerful change from the trendy (and boring, IMHO) greys, whites, and muted mauves.A lot of bedding comes with strange chemical / processing smells, but this had none so we opted to use without pre-washing. I can't speak to that though it does say five percent other material for ease of washing--cold + delicate. Out of all the blankets I own this beautiful alpaca one from Ecuador has to be among the best. Besides the beauty of the rich colors (turquoise, ivory, and red) the geometric designs are stunning whether on a bed or sofa and overall it’s a stand-out—I’ve received many compliments from guests. It is also incredibly soft, non-itchy and a fabulous blanket to wrap oneself around in sheer comfort and luxury.
