Kaweco Liliput Fireblue Fountain Pen M 0.9 mm

A high-quality and compact metal pen. Very compact, so perfect for everyday carry (about the size of the Fisher Bullet). Great materials and build quality, as expected from Kaweco. You may want to note that the Kaweco extra-fine nib is quite a bit finer than something like a Lamy.

My first fountain pen, and I'm not disappointed in the slightest! This offering from Kaweco caught my eye due to the unique finish, and the one I got is just as catching. The varied blues of the body go well with the copper clip, offering a nice contrast.As for the writing experience, the nib works well, being smooth and consistent while in use. As the nib is interchangeable I might experiment with a finer or broader nib, but the medium size works well.My only complaint is that it's a bit on the small side, even for someone with hands on the smaller side. However I won't hold that against the pen, as it is meant to be a smaller pen, but people, especially people with larger hands, should consider this before buying. The Supra from Kaweco also comes in a Fireblue finish, while being substantially larger. However that does come at a hefty premium over the Liliput.

La taille réduite ne pose aucun souci. Étant gaucher, pas toujours évident de trouver un stylo plume aussi pratique et agréable, je suis d’autant plus satisfait.

Der Versand war superschnell, Verpackung sehr angemessen. Der Füllhalter in „Fireblue“ kam in der bekannten Kaweco Metallbox. Ich war überrascht auf der beiliegenden Rechnung „inklusive kurzem Etui“ zu lesen. Nähere Untersuchung der kompletten Verpackung ergab jedoch hierzu keinen Treffer. Aber ich habe es ja auch nicht erwartet oder bezahlt, also alles gut.

I absolutely loved the first one I bought. I liked it so much, I bought a second one to have a different colored ink cartridge in it. It's compact (3 3/4" or 9.5 cm when closed, assembled it's 5" or 12.5 cm), so fits perfectly in a purse or pocket, and because the cover screws onto the pen, it doesn't leak! I use a fine to extra-fine nib. It doesn't skip and has a good steady flow. I would definitely recommend this pen to anyone considering it.
