The Arlo Doorbell is great. Arlo Customer Service not so much.
Not as easy to set up as the Arlo Camera that took me 15 minutes. It has taken me considerably longer to set up my Arlo wireless Doorbell. Very difficult when Arlo sends AI generated responses to my inquiries for set -up and there isn't any one that is willing or able to help troubleshoot upon request. Once finally set up. Works Wonderfully! Clear picture. Great sound. Good product. I am glad that I added it to my Arlo security family. Wish the literature came with the product so I didn't have to contact the company. That was the only thing missing.

Don't waste your money to buy Arlo system.
1. It's not reliable. When someone comes to your place, there is a way to jam the signal to make your cameras blinded.2. Often time, the images aren't stable; blurry, or skipped and you can't see what's the details of the images. The Arlo "4K" is a joke. It only can record on the slow objects and barely see the clear people's face or car's license plate. For the normal speed object passing by, you will not be able to see anything clearly even what kind of car.3. Storage can be stored in the local USB flash drive, but each time, when you want to see the image; you will have to download it and the download speed depends on your wifi network. Otherwise, you will have to pay monthly subscription fee. I have raised download issue when store the images in local USB flash drive since August of 2021 and so far, it's not resolved or nothing is fixed.4. If for some reason, one of the cameras got disconnected, you will have to re-sync with the base station. Also, it depends on where the cameras were installed. You will have to get a ladder to get each of them to re-sync. It's a huge hassle.5. Tech support has no phone # support since Sept of 2021. All the support has to go through Arlo app and there's no way to hold any support team. Plus, the support folks are very slow to response to your questions and oftentimes the reply isn't relevant. You are going to spend a lot of time on your questions. You will be told there are someone will call you back or reply back. But you don't know when it's going to be.6. Spot light is useless. It's too weak. It's even worse than the night vision on the infrared light image.7. Motion detection is very slow sometimes. When a car of person passing by, Oftentime it only catches the last a couple of seconds and most of the time; camera has no reaction even a "zone" area was defined.

Arlo doorbell camera damaged
I ordered 2 doorbell cameras. One for my front door and the other for my fence to catch people coming through my yard. But this long awaited item came damaged. The back wouldn't pop off with the Arlo pin. Very frustrated that there wasn't an option to exchange by sending this one back and waiting on the new one so I just opted for a refund. I also chose Arlo because I already had an outdoor camera with them and knew the product. Glad Arlo finally created a product that was an easy install for less than savvy people. I will say I had a tough time getting the QR code to scan. Really needs a better option there. Like maybe a QR code on the paperwork with the phone so it can be larger and the phone can pick it up better. So far the camera that is working is doing okay. Still trying to get used to the new range of vision with this camera as opposed to the one I had on the second floor. Arlo is a great brand and I would recommend it.

Excellent. Trouble Free.
Tried Ring, Eufy, and Wyze video doorbells before settling on the Arlo video doorbell. I installed the wired version and it took about a half hour to install the hardware and set it up in the Arlo app. I really like that it calls my cell phone when someone rings the doorbell. Great feature for me. Integrates well with my Arlo cameras in the Arlo app. The Arlo app takes some getting used to. But so do others.Note: It may be difficult to install the doorbell on horizontal siding. I had a friend use his 3D printer to make a special mount that works with my siding. We are making a smaller version to replace the one you see in the photo. The new mount will be mostly hidden behind the doorbell.

Refurbished but works great
We have been using this for about two weeks now and it works great and does everything it needs to do.The only issue was connecting it to our existing doorbell chime box. It got to the point we had to get ahold of tech support. They were not helpful at all. It was through text and when I asked if they could call me to make communication easier, they said no and the have worked hard on making there text tech support better, and the only way to talk to some is to call the number and start over again with everything. Long story short the guy made a case ticket for me and we did not call or text back, after texting them for over an hour.Lucky for me that I used my brain and figure out the issue myself not needing them and their so called better tech support.All in all with everything working as needed, it’s a great device for less the money, you get everything you need in the box, so no worrying if you need to order additional items.

Easy to install, difficult to get the motion detection right
I purchased this product after I got too many random door bell dingers and runners in my neighborhood. This was very easy to set up myself, as I just shut all the power off in my home and then turned it back on when I was done :) It takes a few days to get the motion detection right, but finally 4 days after having it, it detects me and not random cars in the road. (I would exit and enter through my front door as a test and it wouldn't see me at all!) I tried to click the doorbell for a video call, but that doesn't seem to work at the moment. I'm hoping I can figure out these minor issues, and if they go away I'll keep it, but if not I may return for something else. I did notice that if you have a wifi with 5g and normal, make sure your phone and the device are connected to the same wifi. Otherwise...nothing seems to work right.
