Really surprised me
I have suffered from hand excema for between 10 - 15 years now varying from severe blisters and splits to general dryness. It has been difficult to control at times and I've been on immune suppressants and a long list of steroid and moisturising creams throughout the years. Granted, my hands aren't at their worst at the moment and would say it's become manageable over the last few years.Flexitol was actually bought for me by my girlfriend who knows what I go through daily with my sore hands but to be totally honest I didn't expect much and it isn't one I had heard of. To my surprise it is one of my current favourite creams to use and I went and bought a second tube.I like the texture and the thickness, which is actually quite a bit thicker than I have used in the past. It goes on the skin well and soaks in nicely without leaving it too greasy. After around a week of usage I can say I have seen a difference. Excema is very difficult to treat and manage at times and I know creams are different for every single person. But honestly, if your like me and go through loads of creams give this a go because it really surprised me.The only down side I would say is the tube, whilst being a normal hand cream sized tube, just isn't really enough for me. I tend to purchase big tubs of the stuff or the ones with a pump dispenser, but this one seems to only come in one size so doesn't last me nearly as long as the others. But I would definitely recommend it to anyone out there willing to try different things, or desperate for some relief. Good luck!

The best hand cream I have used
I have had them all, from the £30 designer brands to the supposed miracle workers, but none of the hand creams I have used have been as dependable as flexitol. I have had eczema for nearly 20 years (due to years of nursing work). I used to have exceptionally dry hands and constantly battled to keep them moisturised. Many creams were inadequate, others would work but I had to suffer the greasy films and silicon residues that they left behind, making it difficult to get the disposable gloves on (which I have to wear at work). Some of the creams I have used were so thick and gunky that I would have to wait several minutes before I could glove up again. And with some brands, I could go through a tube of cream in a matter of days. But Flexitol has changed all that. It can take only seconds to a minute to dry and there is no residue to contend with. My hands stay moisturised and comfortable all day. I only need apply it a few times a shift and it keeps working for me. I have been using flextiol for some years now and have had little or no eczema outbreaks on my hands. If you are a dry hand sufferer working in an area that puts demands on your skin (Nursing/Hairdresser/kitchen)then I cannot recommend flexitol strongly enough. Also, as a tip, the flexitol heel balm is an excellent at home treatment if you have a really harsh dry patch of skin on your hands. Used overnight it will quickly alleviate the discomfort.

BEST HANDCREAM EVERRRR
Wish i had this on my nursing placement, its so fast acting and quite a fast absorber no matter how much u put on. But do use sparingly because you really don't need that much. BUT ITS SO GOOD 100% MY FAVOURITE.

Great cream but expensive for quantity required - maybe try Poundland heel balm?!
I have NHS/Mum of small children hands which get very dry and craked - worst in the winter. This cream is one of the best I have tried and instantly makes my hands feel less scratchy when I put it on. As the tube is quite small I got through it in a little over a month. I only used it at night as I don't like the feel of cream on my hands during the day. This may suit others' budgets but I tend to spend very little on cosmetics so hunted for a cheaper alternative - I have been using the cracked heel balm sold in poundland on my hands. It is pleasant to apply and does the job just as well (thanks to the urea content) although it is not such an elegant formulation (it's slightly tea-coloured and smells mildly of engine oil!) I'm a pharmacist and checked through the list of excipients and there's nothing dodgy there but I probably wouldn't recommend it for someone sensitive skin (contains parabens).

Superb
This is the very best hand cream you can buy. Non-greasy and rapidly absorbed out transforms dry skin on hand into smooth, supple younger-looking skin on a very short time. The fragrance is light and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Amazing
Best hand cream I've used. I used dermal therapy in Australia, and was disappointed I couldn't find it in the UK. Luckily I found out its called something different here, and this is it. Great for dry hands.

It works
I tried this as I regularly use the heel balm (and that really does work). I had high expectations, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It’s not instant, you won’t get instant results with just one use, but persevere and you’ll get there after a few days.I would recommend putting on at bedtime, and then putting on a pair of cosmetic cotton gloves (eg Avon). This will help to seal the moisture in.Pricey, but definitely worth it
