The drainpipe on our garage doesn't quite reach the drain and trying to get it to properly do that leaves the gap at the top, hence in heavy rain, water goes everywhere. Hardly a fix, so when I saw this extender, I hoped it might be just what we needed to sort the issue.I especially like how this kit is flexible and you can bend it into a variety of layouts to suit what you need, other than having a fixed, straight extension pipe which really narrows your options down.It will also hold its shape and is 2 mm thick so shouldn't tear or crack.The extension will give you an additional 19.7 " up to 58" (fully extended), so you have a decent length available if you need to bend it.It's easy enough to install and seems to be fine. For once. It hasn't rained enough since to check it completely, but that's okay, because I don't want it to rain! It fits; it's enabled the pipe to be extended down to where we needed it to go, so as far as I'm concerned, it's done its job.£14.99 seriously beats having to get an entire new drainpipe!

Poor fitting to standard downpipes
The square fitting does not fit any standard downpipe that I could find, so had to secure it using screws and super glue, it works but it was extremely annoying to fit
