The noise is so loud that you can't sleep at night, and the cooling pen should stop when the temperature of the inverter drops, but it doesn't stop and continues to run for 24 hours, generating noise.It goes from battery mode to utility mode, but the electricity stops for about 15 seconds and then comes back on. Problems with the TV and clock.I'm not sure what caused it, but the TV was broken and I bought it again.

This is the second SUNGOLDPOWER solar inverter/charger that I have purchased. I would purchase a third unit if I have another application. These units are very compact compared to competitors' units such as those from OUTBACK POWER (I own one of those too). The unit is easy to connect, quiet, and has an easy-to-read display for monitoring operation. I have been impressed by the technical response from SUNGOLDPOWER which has promptly answered my questions and send explanatory photographs of internal circuitry.My unit came with some cosmetic damage where a fork lift apparently crushed the edge of the case and some separately-bagged DC insulators (but there was no damage to the very well packaged unit, so the damage occurred prior to shipping). SUNGOLDPOWER promptly replied to my query about this stating: "Yes, the deformed part looks like it was forked by a forklift. Our other models of inverters (packed in cartons) are sometimes deformed when the forklift forked the inverter shell during loading and unloading. Because the machine is very heavy, when it is packed in the factory, it is basically packed by machinery and automation. Generally, this kind of damage will not occur. We are also working hard to analyze and find the reason to avoid similar problems next time. install and test the unit first to see if there is any problem with its function. If there is no problem, I will apply to the company for some compensation." I was very impressed by this response, explaining how the damage could have occurred and that SUNGOLDPOWER would consider some compensation for the damage. The really great news is that the unit passed all of my electrical tests, so the slight damage to the case is only cosmetic.Summary: A+ for design; A+ for customer service; A+ for operation.

I bought this direct from seller. Unit failed after a month of use. They are sending a replacement board... In about a month. This is bad customer service. Who doesn't keep spare parts on hand? I would not but from them againSo, checking in after over three months. It's unbelievable, as I'm still waiting on a replacement board that failed with one month of use. Totally unacceptable.Frustration is high. Buyer beware with this company.

I live totally off grid for 20 plus years, gone through a few different 24v and 48v setups inverters, the first 10 years, I use high frequency inverters because low cost, but I learn they all break after a year or usually when warranty expiresIn deeper research I discovered low frequency inverter the last three inverter I use was from power Jack its low frequency inverter 8,000 w 12,000 w 15000 Watt these inverter works better and lifespan is about 2 years then the Mosfet board Burns out. power Jack claims that you could just buy the board with the LED that is out and replace that board and it's very simple, I have tried that on two of the inverters and it does not work it ends up burnt something else internally, after all these troubles I decided to drop the coins and go with expensive /best and see... in this place everything I use is electric, 50gallon electric water heater, 1commercial 4-burner electric stove, 1 super high temperature stove, 1 commercial electric oven 1 electric air fryer, 2 instant hot water heaters,2 air conditioners, 500 ft deep well water pump, at times Meller welder, hypotherm plasma cutter... EtcIt was summertime when I got the sungold inverter it's hot here in AZ, and air conditioning in my room stay on all nightThis Sungold power inverter didn't have a problem with that and I was Cool and happy... As time go by I trust it more, so I bought the external display for it so I could keep an eye on how much power percentage I'm using... so far I mindfully only use half of its capacity because I learned never to turn everything on at once so I take turns on high electric drawer items... I don't want it to break down on me, been doing very well ! I'm very happy with it !And only time can tell is it worth the price 🙂

I bought this 12kw sungoldpower hybrid inverter to be able to go off grid in my 3000sq ft western pa home. The first thing to know is this is a hybrid inverter NOT a grid tie. That means that you can use solar and batteries and use grid if you need to charge batteries or do any work to the system, but you do not feed anything back to the grid.I have 7kw of Trina solar panels to feed this on 2 separate stings.This inverter has large lugs that allow you to use much larger wire than is required which helps with safety other things. I used 2-2-2-4 aluminum to connect to my 2 100amp breaker boxes. The 2 gauge fits in nice and tight in the lugs.The mounting lugs fit 3/8 bolts, wich I strongly recommend getting uni-strut and mounting that across a couple studs then using the 3/8 bolts and cone nuts mount it to the unistrut.!!!!CAUTION!!!!! THIS UNIT IS VERY HEAVY. The until weights an easy 150 or so lbs so get a couple rope winches mounted to the ceiling and two or three strong people to help mount.For the batteries I have 22kwh of lithium ion batteries connected by 2 pairs of 3/0 copper and at max pull they do start to get a little warm. This inverter is easily capable of running an electric cloths dryer along with a microwave, air fryer, and multiple lights with power to spare!! I have not been able to max it out yet!I can not begin to recommend this inverter enough!! I have convinced my father in law to buy one working on my dad! This is one of the best investments you can make, not only for a cleaner future, but to take the hefty price of energy from the grid and keep it in your pocket.
