FlyyeVersatile Holster MOLLE Black
S**9
Very well constructed, but tight!
I purchased this item recently from Military 1st for my CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow (9mm pistol). Before I made the order, I sent an e-mail to Military 1st to ask whether the holster would fit the pistol (since the pistol is a large one). I got a reply from the seller a week later, telling me that they cannot guarantee that the holster would fit the pistol but if it doesn't, then I can always return it for a full refund. The holster arrived 1 day before the earliest expected date.THE GOOD THINGS:It is definitely very well-constructed. Robust, anti-slip construction not only at the back of the holster (as advertised) but also on the thigh strap so that1) the holster stays in place and2) the strap settings stay in place even when your thigh muscles flex or constrict. Very pleased with this feature! It has spaces for two extra magazines (which fit very nicely) and as advertised it has MOLLE webbing to allow attachment of other pouches. The two straps attaching the holster to the belt work very nicely. Very good idea, since it is not necessary to have a second strap around the thigh, which is very important for your comfort (you can feel how good it is to have one thigh strap instead of two when you crouch, since you don't feel any pressure on your thigh!).Once all the straps are adjusted to the desired length (which takes some time because of the antislip coating), then you can feel comfortable that you will not have to re-adjust them again because of them slipping out of place. The only time you will need to re-adjust them is if you loose/gain weight. Another good thing is that you don't have to remove the holster from your thigh in order to adjust the straps, because you can just unclip them and re-adjust them one by one while still wearing the holster.THE BAD (?) THINGS:The holster is VERY tight to the gun. I do not think it is just tight because my pistol is big, it would be tight no matter what kind of pistol you have so as for the pistol to stay in place. I recommend you leave your pistol in the holster for some time, to allow it to conform to its size.My biggest problem is the thumb strap that holds the pistol in place. This has two fastening features, a clip (button) and velcro. I cannot use the clip because the pistol is too big, so I can only use the velcro. The problem with that is that there is very limited space to unfasten the velcro with your thumb, which lengthens the time it takes to draw the pistol (something very important in the field). I will practice a bit more with it and hopefully it will improve.Because the holster is tight, holstering the gun cannot be done with just one hand.If your pistol is smaller than the Shadow, then you shouldn't experience some of these problems.Hopefully I will be able to solve these problems after using the holster for some time, allowing it to - hopefully - conform to the size of the pistol.
