This is great. Nice and heavy. Does have a Matte finish, which looks great. Wish they offered one in Japaneses to match the Manual transmission shifter. Will buy again!

I opened the box, I wondered why there was an extra nut. But then I figured out why when I tried initially to install it on my 2010 4Runner. Installing was super easy: just counterclockwise unscrew the old one, clockwise screw on the new one, BUT… when screwed on firmly, the symbols in white on top were not lined up properly. Then I understood the extra nut; I unscrewed the knob, screwed on the extra nut first and then screwed the knob back on and it worked perfectly. In other words the extra nut allows you to adjust how far you need to screw it to tighten it in order to have the symbols still facing upward.And I love the contrast. This is my first time owning a four-wheel-drive vehicle with this particular type of shifter, but the original one's indicators had worn off, so being able to see the positions for the first time were helpful until I got used to using it.And, hey, it looks good, too. Okay, since there are absolutely no reviews on this at the time this was written, I'd figure I'd do my best to help out and let everyone know what they're getting into.The Good:This thing is a solid ball of hefty metal, probably 1lb average, and decently sized. It's got a good feel to it, no denying that. It comes in a single box with the knob and a plastic baggy containing a single nut that was appropriately threaded for my transfer case knob threads (more on that below). Build material and engraving/coloring is good, with no errors or issues that I could see. For what it's worth, I purchased the White variant as opposed to the Red.The Bad:It comes with zero instructions, hence the docking of one star. However, installation is easy once you analyze what they gave you. Simply unscrew the factory knob and thread on the nut provided, then screw on the shift knob until it's tight. You may need to unscrew/loosen/adjust the nut in order for the knob engraving to line up correctly, it took me a few tries to get it right. I didn't need to use any tools for installation other than my hands, but your mileage may vary.There's no way to attach the knob to the leather cover that comes stock, so there is a bit of metal of the shifter lever exposed. It's not "ugly" per se, but it's not stock looking either. Will update with images when I can.Overall, for a $20ish gamble, I'm glad I did it. My entire 4Runner came blacked out on the exterior, so this was a good continuation of that theme on the interior.

I absolutely loved the design and finish of this well made transfer case knob. It really brings character to the interior of my 1999 4Runner.Though slightly pricy, I would definitely recommend it for all those off road fanatics out there!

Too large for 80s and probably 90s and more. I have an 85 and this was so big that I couldn't shift into reverse. Wish I could get a matching 4x4 shifter that was small enough to work.

1994 toyota sr5 4x4 truck fits perfect looks really nice.

I bought this because my 2021 4 runner 4 wheel drive gear shifter was rattling and vibrating annoyingly. This solved all my problems and looks nice too.
