Although the jig heads work well and the weed guard/bottom bouncer wire is a welcome addition, several other reviewers are unfortunately correct about the hooks. They appear to have a QA problem. In my pack of five (5) jig heads, two (2) had a very bendable hook which straightened after the first fish I caught (~1 pound smallmouths and not huge or prolonged fighting fish by any measure).They're still usable and largely work as intended, but you need to check very diligently as you use them to make sure they are still straight and sharp. Even moreso than you always check fishing gear.I suggest the company work on the hooks a bit--the same jig head and wire with better hooks would be a best-in-class jig head.

A guy gave me one of these and showed me where to fish it. I tried it the next day and caught 3 bass. I then ordered my own with the weed guard, and I've been catching fish all summer. The guard gets frazzled easily, and I cut it off when it does. I lost one jig to a snag, but that was after cutting off the guard. I will continue to ned rig without the weed guard. I took away one star, because the guard becomes a hassle after a few casts. Good luck.

This is my son's favorite fish hook/setup. It's easy for him to rig and the weedless "wires" keep him from snagging most of the time. Over time the wires get out of shape, just cut them off if you want, otherwise they still do some good even all funky.

I have lived on the same lake for 15 years and never caught fish with any consistency. A friend told me about this system and I am catching trophy size small mouths whenever I want. Frankly I simply can’t believe it. I’ll post the review but never tell anyone close by, I’m guessing these fish haven’t seen ned and no way will I try and fix that. But these are amazing, I predict before long the Ned system will be all over tv, etc. and then it will be over.

So I wish someone would make a ned rig head with a sturdy hook please! These hooks bend one 1st fish and every fish for that matter. The weed guard is actually really nice and firm I was surprised about that but they will break off after bending them back after repeated fish. Trailer keeper is a bit useless too they should have just used a standard double wire keeper. Unfortunately it’s the best ned rig head available for weedless on Amazon so it’s what you get.

The Ned rig is incredibly productive. The only issue I had was that I would snag up reasonable often in the rocky structure that I fish. I decided to try these weedless heads and I was really happy to find out they are pretty rockless too. I almost never snag up and the bass don't seem to mind the wireguards.
