Smells Awful
I was so excited about this bottle. The shape, handle, weight, color was all perfect. I’ve been using Hydroflask for years and I do love them and how well they insulate. Just trying something new. I opened the box and my partner was also excited and wanted to buy one for himself. Not thinking it was related, I commented that something smelled like spoiled milk but it was late and after investigating the smell, found nothing so we went to bed. I threw the empty bottle in my car the next morning and went to fill it at work. That was when the smell really took over! I hand washed it, filled it and took a sip. Nope. Soo rotten tasting! I ran it through the dishwasher and the smell almost seemed to be worse! Took it home, washed it again, and took a long walk with it. It was undrinkable. Told my partner and he took a sip and spit it out. No other reviews even similar to this issue so I decided to share my experience. Would love to hear if anyone else has had issue. It is not anything like a new plastic smell, it was just very rotten milk smell and taste. Returning and plan to keep shopping around.

Love!
This bottle is everything I was looking for. I don’t like metal water bottle bc it makes my water taste weird. Glass is best for water and this bottle isn’t heavy. I love the fact that it has a spout in addition to the straw. The carrying handle is sturdy and the lid latch is secure. This bottle is amazing quality for the $!

Made in China...concerning
There was no country of origin in the description. When it arrived the box says made in China which was disappointing. A little expensive considering. Seems to be decent quality as far as fragility. Not a fan of the muted colors they offer. Something brighter would be nice. I still wonder if the glass is leaded or not. I don't trust China.

We love this thing, great for the gym and every day use
This product is great. Ever since we found out that glass is the only good type of water bottle to use (no metal ions or microplastics), we've been looking for a big glass bottle, and we finally found it! This thing is durable (has yet to break!), holds a lot, fits in cup holders, easy to use and easy to carry! My father uses it for the gym and i've heard only good things about it.

Isn't insulated
For the price I thought this would hold ice longer than a standard glass but it doesn't. It has no insulating value at all. I'm disappointed in this product and would not recommend it. I bought it because it fits the cup holder in my truck better than the Stanley I always use. Now I'm back to the Stanley. Why make a to go glass if it won't keep what's in it at temperature for more than minutes?

ALMOST a perfect cup!
I got this water bottle because I wanted a reusable bottle that was big enough for my venti iced chai latte with whipped cream. I was hoping to find a reusable bottle with a bubble top for the whipped cream, but didn't find one. The 32 oz size of this cup perfect for that drink (with plenty of room for whipped cream :-) and I was very happy with this water bottle -- until today! Today it fell out of the cup carrier attached to my luggage cart and smacked on the asphalt surface of the parking lot -- leaking my iced chai all over the place. I honestly wasn't sure whether I was more disappointed in losing my chai or losing my cup. Obviously, the cup costs a lot more than my chai! So I gave it 3 stars for durability -- I mean glass is going to break if it strikes something hard enough, but I would have hoped that the silicone sleeve would provide better protection.Other than durability, the one thing I didn't really like about it were the included straws. These are made of some sort of soft plastic, which I don't like, and they were also fairly short, compared to the height of the bottle. The picture makes it look like they are about the same length as the bottle is tall, but the straws that came with mine were about 2" shorter than the bottle.Since I don't like plastic straws, I thought I would try to attach my long borosilicate glass straws instead, but unfortunately the place where the straw attaches to the inside of the lid has too great a diameter to fit my glass straws. It is such a nice bottle in so many ways that I was surprised that they chose to go with these cheap soft plastic straws -- a glass straw that fits onto the inside of the lid would have been more in keeping with the rest of the bottle/design, in my opinion. My solution was to remove the plastic straw and not use the "straw" function of the cap at all.Instead, I popped out the silicon plug that covers the "direct drinking" port and inserted my long glass straw through the cap and the "direct drinking" port. It was a perfect fit, although there is the risk of it leaking somewhat since there is no longer a silicone plug. I would have inserted the straw through the plug, but its inside diameter did not allow for that. However, I purchased separately some silicone straw caps that close the straw when I am not drinking and attach to the straw via a silicone ring so the cap doesn't get lost. That seals the whole thing almost perfectly with the exception of the hole in the cap above the direct drinking port. It is still very close to leak-proof because the outer diameter of the glass straw is almost exactly the same as the hole in the cap. Because I have 12" long glass straws with a bend in them, that gives me a more functional straw.Another reviewer said that she would have preferred that the built in straw port would bend outward more so that she didn't have to tilt the bottle to drink, which with the cap open resulted in water spilling out the direct drink port onto her. I'm not sure this is clear, but if you look at the detail of the cap in the pictures, I think you will see what I mean. With the long glass straw going through the hole in the cap, I do not need to tilt the bottle at all and actually never need to flip open the cap, which I did only when washing it at the end of the day.So it is not "perfect" but comes closer than any other solution I have found. Perhaps the manufacturers can upgrade this in future iterations. Now, all I need to do is decide what color to replace this with. I liked the white, although it is a little more creamy-white than bright white than I would prefer (Yes, I know I am picky!) I'm thinking of going with pink or pale green. Hmmmmm. And I will be looking for a new drink carrier that fits on the handle of my luggage cart and will hold a large cup more securely! I need to walk with walking sticks and wanted an alternative to a back-pack for all the things I have to haul back and forth to work. My 4-wheeled spinner cart works great for that, and I thought the two hole drink carrier that slips over the handle was a perfect solution. And it has been, for several months, but failed me today!
