I wax at home and had always wanted to try a hair growth inhibiting wash like the ones uses in the pricy salons, so when I saw this available, I wanted to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really does slow the growth, which is great during the warmer months when you don't want the visible evidence of hair growth while you wait til it's long enough for rewaxing, especially when you are traveling. It's very easy to use as you bathe in the shower, and has a pleasant fragrance. This deserves 5 stars!

Decent body wash with a pleasant scent. Washes off nicely with no discernible residue feeling.Does it inhibit hair growth? So tough to tell. This is one of those products that you pretty much just have to hope and trust that it does what it’s saying. In order to work as it says it will, the hair must be removed by the root (waxing). As this is a product from a waxing salon brand, this makes complete sense. Here’s the issue: waxing on its own can over time inhibit hair growth. This is due to the fact that pulling hair out at the root can damage the follicle and cause the hair not to grow back. This is why you don’t want to pluck your eyebrows or greys on your head. Eventually it might not grow back at all (so many of us who were over a certain age in the 90’s can attest to this fact). My point here is that using this product concurrently with waxing makes it impossible to know which thing is inhibiting hair growth, that is if you do notice slowed hair growth. Therefore, there is not really a way to measure the results of this body wash fairly. You have to trust the brand and take it on faith.Due to the fact that the product claims are not really something one can prove if the product is used as intended and the small size and relatively high price per ounce; I have removed one star. It’s a good body wash and I wouldn’t *not* recommend it, but I’m not sure it’s worth the cost.

I was very skeptical about this at first, because my hair grows SO FAST! I wax everything, and even with waxing I feel like my leg hairs grow back the next week. It’s been a week and still nothing. I wanted to give it a fair review so I waited to use the wash until after I had a fresh wax. I use it every day and no signs of hair and it’s been a little over a week. The wash itself smells great, very mild but does have a pleasant scent. It also exfoliates, which is an added plus. I have sensitive skin and didn’t have any reactions after using this product. Definitely something I’ll continue to use in my regimen.

The wash itself is very liquidy so it works best when put on a loofah or sponge in my opinion. When I do this I am able to get a very nice soapy lather. It goes on easily and rinses off cleanly. I love the rich aloe scent (which doesn't linger on the body after washed off). My skin feels nice and hydrated after use. I have noticed my leg hairs seem to be growing in slower, some still come in normally but there are noticeable areas where it's coming in later than the rest so it seems to be working. I've also been using the slow lotion on my legs after the shower in combo with this wash.

European Wax Center Slow Hair Growth Aloe Body Wash has a nice pleasant mild citrus scent with a good lather. The lotion goes on soft and gentle. Washes off easily. Leaves skin feeling moisturized and refreshed.It appears to slow down the hair growth for both of us after a couple weeks of consistent use.Just wish the bottle were bigger.Overall, good price for a product that has a dual purpose.
